This is just another reason why I will continue to not fuck with Southwest. When they have crapy scheduling software and a policy to not rebook you on other airlines and have no real/traditional hubs,* this what you get I guess.

I was already thinking OP has probably flown once in their life and had a bad experience with SW. Before even reading your stats, anecdotally, I go on 15-20 work trips a year so like 30-40 one way flights and Southwest is by far the fastest boarding experience consistently. Just line em up and load em in. No zone loading, no searching around for assigned seats.

The worst is when it's a half full flight and American still has to stick to their loading protocol so it takes almost as long as a full flight, where Southwest it's like 2 lines of people. File in and you're off.

Bike party crosses the city and the route changes everytime. It gets from a few dozen to a few hundred people and is a blast. Be on the watch though, some are inexperienced

... I... have you consulted a normal map on this? I just started at BWI and went up, and you have to have some crazy routing in real life to pull it off. Granted, it's a fantasy map... but it's more believable if it hews closer to real life.

I was scheduled to fly back home today. They canceled the flight, and the first available was January 1.

I live in Canton but commute daily to work in Silver Spring (~45mins each way). Commute used to be to Columbia which was 30mins so ideally would like to move to Riverside/Port Covington as it takes 15mins to get out of the neighborhood and thru the harbor tunnel. What would be even more ideal is for express toll lanes added on I-95 N/S between I-695 and rt 198/200 in Howard Co

Some areas have sewer line problems where the city sewage lines are at fault, the back up happens after rain storms and can push sewage from the city lines back into residential pipes. You can call 311 to see if this is the problem, your friend’s neighborhood group might have grants to get it fixed. I received around $11,000 over two years to fix my sewer pipes and install pumps and valves to prevent the back up. My sewage line is inside, but the same may apply to your friend’s home.

They should totally issue refunds to save face and to help themselves get out of this hole.

Yeah, it’s not looking like Southwest will let you cancel for a refund at this point, only flight credit or change the flight. Considering flying out a different airline and keeping my return flight on Southwest. May give it a day or two to see how things shake out.

Ya I thought the same. Supposed to fly in Thursday with southwest, but the next open seat on another airline isn’t until Saturday for an insane price. Think I’m going to just stick to the original flight and hope for the best

As a former Long Islander that would take the Long Island railroad and then transfer for a subway, it’s not so bad, given the distances involved. Glad it’s an option.

That is nice, except there's no convenient connection between Baltimore and Dulles like there is between DC and Dulles. id have to take MARC to DC and then metro from DC to Dulles
