I lived there for a few years before moving back to Bmore. It isn't that bad. The quality of life was fine, I just got bored in Harford County.

Ideally you want to be on the west side of Rt.40. That said if you are in a house I don't think you would really have any problems with anyone. Some of the apartment complexes on the east side of 40 in Aberdeen are sketchy but its mostly drug related stuff that won't effect you if you aren't in that scene. There's some sections of Aberdeen that are really nice and up there with the better sections of Bel Air and Havre de Grace. I lived off W. Bel Air Ave and never had issues with porch pirates or feeling unsafe, my neighbors were all decent middle class people.

Make sure to grab food at Georgia's Carryout. Their soups are incredible. There's some decent shopping centers with a food store (Shoprite), Target, and Home Depot all very close to each other.

Tough area. You could light rail it up to Hampden, where there are a number of places. I saw a sign yesterday of somewhere looking for bussers and hosts, i think food market.

The inner harbor might have something. Mt Vernon itself seems less active than it used to.

Depending where you are, try station north and old goucher neighborhoods: Dutch courage, Clavel, etc. might have something for you.

In my experience, it shouldn’t take long to find something if you’re willing to dish wash. Places sometimes won’t post it, but are often willing to hire a dishwasher or even train you for other positions to cover a variety of roles as necessary

Towson, Catonsville, Woodlawn and several other places are old street car suburbs of Baltimore. Wealthy Baltimoreans from the city built their summer homes in these places to escape to city. Much of Baltimore county is just as old as Baltimore city. It’s the other suburb/exurb counties that are products of white flight and sprawl.

Owings mills has transit oriented mixed use development at metro center.

If you're a hermit then I don't see why it would be a problem to move there. You would be living in a house so as long as you get along with the relative you would be just fine. You'll save a ton of money so can make the place even more comfortable to be in a lot so yeah this is great

Hey! Thank you so much! That would be great! Would you be there this Sunday or next Sunday? Oh! I had not considered that! Yeah, this is a photo from a setting design so I don’t think it can be copied exactly but if I could have something inspired by or similar I’d be really grateful! Thank you again!
