The littering around here truly drives me up a wall. You can’t drive on any highway without seeing piles and piles of trash on the side of the road, not to mention random garbage in the parks that absolutely have trash cans. I understand we need more cans but I will carry trash with me for miles and just dispose of it at home if need be - never in a million years would it occur to me to drink a bottle of soda and casually toss it on the ground. It’s insane.

This is the most random post I’ve seen here in quite a while. Bravo 👏 Sorry I can’t help with the coconut part, but I hope you find what you’re looking for! :) :) :)

Editing to add: I just remembered that in the summer, there’s a TikiBar floating over around Little Havana—or at least, it used to be there (not sure what happened during the pandemic). But that seems like the most logical place where you’d find something like this. Good luck!

You can appeal, but FYI homes are usually only get a "fresh" reassessment when they are purchased because based on current value (what you paid). This causes a lot of discrepancies between similar properties, because people that have had their homes for a very long time are often not subject to that and the Homestead Tax Credit keeps their taxes in check (as will yours also going forward). When I bought my house, it hadn't be re-assessed in over 20 years. I appealed because they assessed it over what I paid, the condition was a bit less good than the comps they used, and there were errors in the info they used to make the assessment. They get that info from a 3rd party provider I was told.

It's gets a little crazy, rachet and some people might be rude. If you got nothing to do and want to spend 100, go for it. Nothing wrong with that.

I can't imagine being a proud parent, sending my kid off to school, and then have them being preyed on and sexually assaulted and receive tired excuses from the administration that was supposed to support them. Sickening. Universities have dedicated offices and officers to handle violations of Title IX. Not sure why things were handled so poorly here.
