Oh, for sure. I honestly think the companies could care less when things like this happen bc all they care about are the ratings and profits. Had we heard things like this too, I would have just told him to avoid any area remotely close to the city. I’m sure there were many incidents already like this but it was all probably covered up. Smh. We just have to be vigilant and look out for each other I guess.

Yes, but Baltimore's public transit system is terribly insufficient. So it's not like we have some great, efficient bus system that can take public school kids to and from school, but also for field trips and after school activities like sports and the arts. Sure, if Baltimore had a functioning public transit system then maybe, but Baltimore's bus system is a mess, it's not sufficient for getting thousands of kids to and from school each day.

Yep. It was a family-friendly spot that was big enough for community gatherings and casual hangs. Loved seeing parents with kids out on those picnic tables.

To all the people saying this area is weird or sketch: sure, but families live here and like living here and there are a ton of new spots along York Rd that have made the area feel so much safer thanks to the added foot traffic.

The same thing exists in cities all over the country. It's not exclusive to Baltimore. And I don't really know or give half a fuck what you call yourself, but claiming that because a kid rides a dirt bike s/he is part of a gang and doesn't have a family to support them is one dumb generalization. These guys ride past my block all the time. I see white dudes riding with them and older dudes riding along with the teens and 20-something’s. They seem like they’re having fun.

People don't ride dirt bikes around town because they lack opportunity any more so than people street race cars because of lack of opportunity. You're just jonesing to shit on someone doing something you dislike.

I told my husband to not go down there ever. His shifts are in the evening and I feel like it’s just never safe at any time of day. But I know sometimes he is tempted to go down there bc even if the money is not any greater, there’s always more orders than our current area.

And I totally understand. I hate that this happens to people who are literally just trying to make some way of living. Thanks for the well wishes though.

Damn. I was just there a little over a week ago and they were pretty busy. I thought the Stout I had was pretty good. A friend really dug his beers as well. My food was, well, bar food. But the place was full of families eating with their kids all hanging out.

If I remember correctly, the form they send you has a field to enter in the last time you were called to jury duty.

Yeah i did it for a show in late January in DC. Had to leave during the last band's set but I was there to see the opener so it worked out. Got back to the station at 10:30 and the train left a little after 10:50

I used to try ALL the local beers, but this was the only spot I never visited. The location is awkwardly between the city and Towson. Doesn’t sound like I missed anything, but their Hops the Cat was decent once upon a time. I’ve noticed that their beers were never on the shelves where I shop.

Baltimore can absolutely support more breweries, but they have to be good. I’d like to see a GREAT brewery. One for the beer geeks to get hyped about.
