I am from the Deep South. My child is literally there right this moment touring apartments. They graduated in December. They did an internship over the summer. Start applying for jobs immediately. Apartments go fast. My childs employer is paying for moving expenses and etc. it depends on where you are working as to where you will live. They found this crazy map that is supposed to be pretty accurate and that’s what we have gone by and it’s worked out so far. Moving to any big city is a challenge. Get your ducks in a row. Start applying for jobs and understand the pay then you can move on from there. From what we have gathered from phone calls and pictures, they found a great area. It took weeks of full time searching. First save money and start applying.

Betting on yourself is fine... but why place a gamble on a bet that has terrible odds? You don't just "bet on yourself" thats an immature and short sighted statement. You bet on yourself according to the situation at hand. Momma Jackson ain't it. Dude should have Drew Rosenhaus on speed dial.

Bro, Brady won Super Bowls with WR's that were thrown away, under sized white guys, or projects. He had Moss for a few years and a Gronk was gone from a few of his Super Bowls. Julian Edelman said it many times, Tom helped make him, not the other way around. Throwing Tannehill in there is just a troll at this point. Who was the last "running" QB to win a Super Bowl? Arguably, Steve Young and that a push because I'd say Young is more like Mahomes, a passer who can run, not a runner who can pass.

What did Vick win exactly? Nothing. He was always broken down in the playoffs. It's not a sustainable playing style. You have to be able to be a passer who can run... not a runner who can pass. Mahomes works so well because he's a passer first which opens up clear running lanes. Lamar's runs are tough runs and he's not going to be able to continue to rack up these hits.

Northwest Baltimore is great. Calmer and more quiet than downtown. Bike or hike the Jones Falls trail from Mt. Washington to Woodberry or Druid Hill Park (Rawlings Conservatory and the zoo)and stop by the Cylburn Arboretum along the way. Nice restaurants and lots of shops in the area. Some of the best public schools in the city (Mt. Washington, Roland Park, Medfield Heights, Poly and Hampden) and several private schools as well. Easy access downtown via 83 and the light rail. For groceries: Giant, Eddie’s, Whole Foods, Mom’s Organic market. Baltimore Museum of Art and The Walters Art Museum are a short drive away.

I know... I'm saying do one thing plus do something else, not necessarily in the order listed. The bridge is literally right there, but it would not be exactly educational (or interesting frankly) to drive some kids over a bridge and back. Let me reword this:

Could be fun to go visit state government in Annapolis and while you're out that way, drive over the Bay Bridge. Driving over the bridge, they will either be scared straight or thrilled. Then they can say they have been to the Eastern Shore if they haven't already.

> The term limits referendum was just like this - ostensibly populist proposal that actually just kills institutional memory and expertise and diverts an amount of power to interest groups like Sinclair.

I thought the bigger impetus was to exit stage left some of the bad politicians that didn't want to leave otherwise or just didn't serve the public interest. I'm sure this sub can think of a few... 4-8 years is a lot of time after all.

If art is one of your interests, definitely go to:

1/2 day #1 North Baltimore:

the Baltimore Museum of Art (free admission for main exhibits, with optional ticketed special exhibits.) I found the current Darrell Ellis exhibit really affecting.

Parking: on-site $12 lot OR metered parking across the street (4 hr limit.)

Food: nice, kinda upscale Gertrudes’s Chesapeake Kitchen is located in the museum bldg. There are various casual spots a few blocks away on St Paul St.

Half Day #2 South Baltimore:

American Visionary Arts Museum.] The museum and very unique gift shop are worth the $15.95 admission. While there, climb to the top of Federal Hill Park for a view of the harbor.

Parking: metered street parking on Covington St and Key Hwy. (iirc, the parking limit was quite long.)

Food: 6 blocks away - Shotti’s Point Charm City. if you like French fries, you have to try the Rhino Chaser Fries.

No problem. I really enjoyed the tower and would visit again. The limit for street parking in that area is actually 4 hours 😊 If you find other places in the city you might want to visit and are concerned about parking, I recommend using google street view to check out the signage in advance.

Were you in eighth grade in BCPS circa 2005? Because I was and apparently the county had some kinda panic about their liability insurance that year, so all the good field trips that everyone had been promised (we were supposed to go to Hershey) got cancelled last minute and they hastily slapped together some kind of much worse consolation field trip (ours was to a weird pool, that we had to share with another middle school because they had already booked it, and, arguably, nearly as risky as an amusement park, liability wise)

And like you, subsequent years went back to Hershey

Sounds like you made up your mind Six Flags

Best school trip we did was a tour of the freedom trail in Baltimore. Went to a historic black church and saw the underground railway in the wall.

Toured Baltimore from the African American historical experience and then ended at the Inner Harbor. Fascinating way to see Baltimore
