What so as long as somebody else has it worse it can't be a shit deal? 44k/year is a shit wage in baltimore area, can barely afford to live in the city you drive in

I've had good, bad, and no bonus jobs before, I can still point out that the "bonus" they put in bold is strung out as quarterly payments.

As someone else pointed out the bonus also gets paid to existing employees, that's excellent, that's the only upside to this ad I see.

Man that really breaks my heart for you all. That’s so shitty yet I’m not surprised at all. Agreed - I was glad to see it be brought back but not by Atlas.

My last memory there before Atlas took over was actually celebrating St. Patrick’s Day right before everything shut down during the pandemic. Me and my group went all out because we figured that it would be our last for a while and boy was it.

I've successfully bought a mandolin over Facebook marketplace. That being said, I've also had like 8 people ghost me and waste my time when trying to sell furniture there so your mileage may vary.

Yeah but when you consider many people get zero bonuses? It's not that bad.

My first bonus as a nurse was 5k pre-tax with a 1 year service agreement. And a threat to be on the hook for the full 5 if I didn't keep up my side of the bargain. Yes, the work conditions were bad. My salary as a FT RN in a southern state working night shift was like 33k.

Another year my bonus was a 25 dollar gift card. Another year it was a turkey at Thanksgiving. 9 years ago, I got a bonus of $250. You get the idea. 🙃

“iirc” means “if I recall correctly. For parking at AVAM, you can pay to park your car on the street close to the museum. There’s free street parking in the neighborhood closer to Shotti’s (south of Fort Ave.) You might have to drive around a bit to find a spot near there. It all depends on how far you’re able/interested in walking.

R House is in walking distance to the BMA. Street parking near there is free and permit restrictions don’t apply on weekends. I think it would be frowned upon to leave your car in the R House lot to go to the BMA (and that lot seems to almost always be full.)

Um, no. The number of vacant properties in Baltimore is decreasing at a very fast rate. In 2020 Baltimore had 16,000+ vacant properties and now it is 14,000. There is new legislation within the city currently being sponsored by Odette Ramos so the city can better manage and dispense with vacant properties. We're not turning any vacants into community gardens when they can become revenue generators for the city.

Which Latrobe Park parking lot are you talking about? The one over by Banner Fields was forced on Locust Point through Under Armour's seizure of the land. Nobody in Locust Point was asked or consulted for that one even though that space was an obviously choice for a community garden. The parking lot on the other side by the school was requested and encouraged by Matt Farkosky, then President of the Locust Point Civic Association, to be built and donated by Walker28. Matt's wife is the kindergarten teacher at Francis Scott Key Elementary and the couple thought additional impervious surface in the park would be a great for the teachers to park on if their school lot was full, never mind the destruction of public park property. The LPCA is the organization that is currently furious with UA for selling the UA owned Haubert Street property. What goes around comes around.

For about ten years prior to Covid, we'd bring 40 ish people to James Joyce before/after the parade. We were well known, had our spot reserved every year, gifted our favorite bartender an award (we miss you Dave!), and had a great time every year.

Definite mixed feelings when Atlas resurrected JJ. However, a portion of our group went after the 5k this year. They tried to charge us a cover at the door that may or may not have been linked to a fundraiser they couldn't explain.

It feels a bit sterile in there now; not many decorations hung up and I don't particularly like the new paint scheme. Once the band started up it felt a bit more like old times. Drinks came fast enough, fish and chips were exactly what I needed at the time.

I'm glad JJ is open and that its not an empty storefront, but I do miss the old team and feel.
