Baltimore has a ton of problems but, and I think most people would agree, the residents are one of the best parts.
People are super friendly around the city.

I absolutely recommend Silver Queen Cafe, Lost in the 50s Diner & Maggie's Farm.
Burdick has a dog park but I think there's registration required to use it. Otherwise I like Herring Run and Double Rock(a little ways up harford rd in the county).

People on the street are generally really friendly in my 6 years here. Now people in cars on the other hand…

Cattle Decap is playing with blackbraid and dark funeral at sound stage on may 23. Gonna be brutal.

I've seen a lot of metal acts come through the soundstage and metro gallery.
Sometimes they play at the pier 6 pavilion, Ottobar, and the lyrics!

Yes, I agree. But so too are the rednecks in the county who are constantly angry have more guns than god and are constantly in turmoil with family and neighbors. They are not noticed as they are more spread out. But 10 of them work where I do In Middle River, and its complaining day in day out, and picking on anyone who they think they can bully.

Thank you for the info! The street we looked at seemed quiet and safe. Do you have a security system or one you’d recommend? We know we’ll get something set up but looking around

We bought a house there six months ago and we like it quite a bit. Cheap COL, relatively safe, relatively friendly people, a few really good restaurants, an active neighborhood association in neighboring Lauraville. The only thing I wish we had was a good neighborhood bar!

1-800-799-7233 is the National Domestic Abuse hotline, they help in multiple different situations. The city doesn’t have many good organizations to respond, National organizations can help. If you plan to move to another state you can look at what’s there to help on that state. I’m sorry for what’s happening to you. I pray for better times for you.

I've lived in a lot of places and have been in Baltimore for a few months. This is definitely the friendliest city I've ever lived.

Big national touring acts come through soundstage mainly, they’ve got lots of good shows coming up. Death to All/Suffocation, Carcass, Enslaved, Hell in the Harbor festival.
Smaller national touring acts mainly play at Metro Gallery and Ottobar. Ottobar has Dead Congregation coming up, Metro has Hari Kari for the sky.
Local bands will open at those shows and Metro and Ottobar both have local only shows sometimes. Close to Metro is Club Depot. They’ve got local shows…doom is real big in MD and probably the most common but death and thrash/traditional shows too. Holy Frijoles in Hampden has random shows…usually local but they had Early Moods a couple weeks ago. Theh only get posted on instagram. Dive bar called Shamrock Inn has random metal shows too, they only get posted on their Facebook.
