So what's the actually advantage of the off airport lots if you don't mind telling. Like I get off my plane, wait for a bus and go to my car either way right? Is the price that much better or something? I just don't see what they can 'offer' that differntiates something like parking lots.

What about them? Don't park where parking isn't allowed. You may think "oh I'm only here a few minutes" but every other jerk parking in the bike lane has the same thought. All those "just a minute" stops add up to continual obstruction.

Imagine you wanted to drive your car, but a delivery truck has double parked and boxed you in. Okay, no big deal its only for a minute right? You can be patient for that long. Only, as soon as that delivery truck pulls away, another one comes and blocks you. And then another. All day long. You're stuck, forever, but no single person inconvenienced you for more than a minute.

And its worth mentioning that a lot of these bike lanes are designed to be wide enough for emergency vehicles to use in an emergency. If you've parked in the bike lane you've not only inconvenienced bikers and peds, you've potentially obstructed an emergency vehicle who was relying on that bike lane to respond to an emergency.

FastPark. Always FastPark. Next to no wait time getting from the lot to the terminal or terminal to the lot, and the pickup/drop-off at the car is so convenient. Plus the free parking points are a nice bonus.

I don't think they require a reservation but it's helpful to have. Plus if you have account I think you get points that can be used for future discounts. IIRC the price point is typically the same as, or slightly cheaper than the BWI long term lot, though the actual price you pay may vary slightly based on what the rates actually were while you were parked there.

My advice is skip the airport run long term and do one of the off airport lots. I have used fast park and relax for a while and much prefer it. The process of getting from the lot to the terminal is much faster than the airport run lot. I have also never gone and there not been a spot. No reservations are needed either.

The flow has improved significantly; thank you for all the work you’re doing on this. The one thing that’s left to fix is that the pedestrian only signal at MLK and Lexington goes red without any pedestrians hitting the signal. Once this signal becomes purely pedestrian activated, without any phantom signal changes, I think the flow will be almost perfect. Thanks again.
