Dang! I hope you’re recovered. I heard about that case at the time and it rattled everyone.

To OP, for a route, if it’s at night, I’d recommend walking Keswick down to where it turns into Sisson, then make a left on 28th and a right on Howard til you get close to the place on 22nd. Those are busy corridors at most hours of the day, so a lot of people around.

My understanding of a lot of those teens’ activity is they were targeting people in more isolated stretches near Wyman Park Drive. But like this commenter above said, I haven’t heard of any recent incidents.

yeah it's safe, as long as you go down Remington Ave to get in from Hampden. rather than going all the way to the bottom of Keswick and taking 29th: you want to spend as little time on 28th and 29th as possible, as they are currently extremely unsafe with speeding drivers getting into crashes with each other, pedestrians, and even buildings seemingly every other week.

Other commenters are saying you'll be fine, and in general I'd agree with them. I've lived in and around this area for 5 1/2 years and used to walk pretty regularly.

Last October, though, my wife and I were mugged in Hampden next to Keswick Road, and I was shot in the leg. A group of young men (probably teenagers) have been targeting people in this area, probably because it's considered relatively "safe".

I haven't heard about any instances recently, but as far as I know they've never been caught. So just be careful out there.

It’s walkable and you shouldn’t have any issues. Just be careful like walking anywhere in Baltimore. And if it’s your first time going have fun, No Land Beyond is great!

Oh, and Fells Point is cool and all, but definitely get yourself a $20 dat pass on the water taxi and check out some other neighborhoods like Federal Hill and Canton.

In Fells Point, do go by Cat's Eye for live music (365 days per year), Max's for a massive beer selection, Bertha's (if it's still open at that point) to get your sticker and some mussels, Pierpoint for some non-traditional smoked crab cakes, Blue Moon for brunch, Captain James Landing (water side deck, not the big boat building) for steamed crabs. Check out the Broadway market.

Do not go to Choptank.

You don't have to submit another if you already have 311 active reports.

Calling 311 is the best way to follow up on any ticket you've submitted. When calling, you can say “I’d like to check on the status of my service request. Would you mind looking up the details in the Salesforce system for me please?”. This will get you the most information.

I work part-time as a caregiver and I really love the work. Sometimes you can make a decent amount above minimum wage. You do have to be able to pass a background check and get certified in CPR / first aid, but it's a super needed area. Always always always people looking to hire caregivers. If anyone else reading this is interested, feel Free to DM me for more information!
