Like the Hilton right on eutaw next to Camden yards? You’re fine. It’s less than a km and it’s literally just walk straight north through Camden yards. You can see the hotel as soon as you leave m&t. I guarantee there will be a mass of people going in the same direction. It’s where most people park or where most hotels are. I make that walk every ravens and orioles game because I park right next to the seltzer tower. If you’re for some reason really terrified of this walk, you can hop on the light rail outside m&t and take it one stop where it drops you off right outside the hotel.

But seriously. Your biggest danger is tripping over the curb. There’s not even any open streets you have to cross. Hamburg, Lee, and Camden streets (the 3 you would have to cross) are either closed or have crossing guards during stadium events. Ravenswalk (at least for ravens games. Don’t know about concerts) has cops the whole way from Camden street to m&t

This is not a stage. A stage is an unpaid internship for aspiring chefs to learn techniques in established kitchens. What you’re describing is more of a trail, but a 9 hour shift making food for paying customers is abuse and your friend is likely entitled to be paid.

Filing a complaint with MD DoL is filling out some paperwork. They have their own investigators who will do the fact finding on your behalf. In MD damages are treble for flagrant wage violations.

If he isn’t willing to “make a fuss” then that’s that. Just know that you have to put some work in to recoup this and filing these complaints helps enforce labor laws that protect workers from employer mistreatment.

Two delegates from Baltimore County Szelega and Nawrocki are pushing back. I wrote to my delegate, Mayor Scott and Governor Moore, I haven’t heard back yet. I plan to write to the Baltimore County delegates tomorrow to thank them and encourage them to keep pushing back. It’s a shame our own city delegates aren’t helping residents with this.

I have friends in Brooklyn who’s children suffer from asthma. I often wonder if it’s from the chemical rain and discharge from the incinerator.

I’m in the Saint Agnes Violetville area. We have frequent problems with raw sewage leaks into our yards, homes and the street. Recently large trucks are dumping in the grassy areas and along side the woods. The residential roads aren’t made for large trucks, now we have multiple water main leaks, I worry about cross contamination from the sewage leaks.

Years ago our neighborhood group organized against having the CSX traffic in our neighborhood, the company wanted to use the residential streets to move rail cargo by truck to the next stop. We all worked together to stop it. Now we don’t have a unified neighborhood group, only a group of friends of councilwoman Porter who seem more interested in running for different elected positions than helping the neighborhood. A few years ago Clean Water Action and Blue Water Baltimore took some interest in the sewage problems but they disappeared. It’s sad to see how fast the environmental damage happens under bad leadership.

That’s an interesting idea of Guinness suing the city for clean water, that would help all of us.

We have frequent problems with environmental issues surrounding the CSX plant in Curtis Bay.

Explosions and chemical rain showers happen more often than they should. The city response has been non-existent.

IMO, our only hope is that Guinness (or some other corporation that depends on Baltimore having potable water) sues the state/city into action.

That's a classic Los Angeles move. "You want to change lanes and there's plenty of room ahead of me, the driver in the next lane? Not anymore, lol!"

Changing lanes on the freeway? Blocked.

Need to get into the turn lane? Blocked.

Your lane is ending and the smart thing to do is zipper merge? You bet your sweet ass that's blocked and they'll match your speed until you're in the shoulder. Suck it, other drivers.

I used to think LA drivers were absolutely the worst I'd ever dealt with. Now I see Baltimore is catching up.
