People would think heroin you can get from a pharmacy is “safe” as compared to shit you get in the street because, comparatively, it would be. And addicts typically don’t start using with the belief they’ll get addicted. Don’t you remember the “i never said I wanted to a junkie when I grow up” PSAs back in the 80s/90’s. Even as regulated as Oxy is, people still end up hooked. Legalizing drugs would make that problem worse and unless it was unlimited supply, you’d still have a black market issue

I've always had positive expriences at Harbor View Veterinary Hospital! It's in Canton and I have never felt upsold. I recently took my cat to Eastern for an urgent care situation and despite nothing serious being wrong in the end, spent $1400 💀 I was willing to do it to ensure he was okay, but I also decided to get pet insurance because that sum flattened me. Oof.

Yea it seems that a lot of development was always around the corner for that section Howard, but I think the redevelopment of Lexington Market and the new Arena are prob some kinda “signal” that it’s Go Time lol. And tbqh it’s a very good thing since it’s all oriented around our existing transit of the light rail

You’re right. I know nothing about sports and forgot about The Washington Football Team. I never would have figured that Baltimore would have so many transplants from Allegheny County.

i didn’t realize this was him!!! he had the most confusing reason for wanting money - something like he doesn’t have transport and he needs lyft money, but i was like if your phone works then you’re able to contact friends? also if i venmoed you, you wouldn’t be able to use it for a day? so i didn’t give him anything, but he approached me three more times with the same story when i still lived over there

Ah so it definitely was a station at one point then - my wife and I used to joke that we should drop out of life, rehab that building as a game shop and call it Greyhound Games. Glad to see something's actually happening to it though!

Speaking of the dog park it seems like they're excising the ground directly in front of it, too. Wonder what that's about.

When we were kids, my brother spent summers at a friend's farm. He bought a calf (Gracie) and raised it to be slaughtered and sold. My dad wrote an article for the Sun about this circle of life, and for WEEKS afterwards, people would call us (old days, phone book, home phone) and shout "MURDERERS!!!!" Not too nice for a bunch of kids, who hadn't thought of it like that. And yes, we did eat Grace!

The SPCA has a neighborhood vet clinic. They were closed during the pandemic, but look to be open now. They give you the cost of everything up front. They also have clinics for shots and spay/neuter. One year, they did a holiday special for spay/neuter/shots/nails. Merry Christmas, puppy!!!

No restaurant there anymore. And it's not a boutique hotel anymore, either. It seems like a flop-house/airbnb if their clientele is anything to go by.

Source: my parking lot backs up to that building.

Second this - broth is flavorful, buffet for vegetables and seafood, and meats and noodles are ordered on tablet. Of all the hot pot places in Baltimore and Ellicott city/catonsville this one is the best - close second would be Hot Pot Hero - only con with them (and it's not a huge con) is everything is ordered on tablet vs buffet option
