If you live in baltimore long enough it'll happen to you too. It's like jury duty.

Bummer. Well, I don’t use it as often as I used to, but I imagine this will present challenges for some people who make use of the lot.

They've said since the beginning that that lot would be going away.

Is there any net gain or loss to parking spaces available at the station? If that lot on Lanvale becomes the new concourse, it sounds like it may eat into parking?

I’ve taken my son to Gertrude’s since he was a little kid. If your kiddo is well-behaved in restaurants, Gertrude’s is totally fine. The hot dog on their kids menu is awesome!

Canton is probably a good spot for you. Property prices track heavily with public safety

If you’re not sold on it, check out the umaryland.edu School of Medicine jobs. The tuition remission is great and extends to your dependents for their first undergraduate degrees at any maryland system (public) university.

I don't think that's accurate. Hamden started out with pretty little rent which attracted a lot of antique dealers which then went to a lot of bars and restaurants taking advantage of the foot traffic.

I've always thought DMV was really stupid to be honest. I grew up in the city of Frederick and never heard "DMV" until about 10 years ago. I think "DC area" sounds a lot better. To me, DMV feels forced.

You should probably lead by example and stop abbreviating Maryland as MD.

... lol. This has to be one of the dumbest takes on this sub I've ever seen. And there is a lot of dumb stuff here. A lot. But this may very well take the cake.
It's much easier to type "DMV" than "the suburbs in and around DC." Much like it's much easier to type "DC" instead of "the District of Columbia." Or how "the UP" refers to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Or SoCal, SWFL, etc etc etc etc.

Reply to Bought Rockfish at Lexington Market by Aflamann
Rockfish generally are not farmed, how long we talking? Over 24 inches?
Edit: here is a cool article I found that talks about the differences. Most of the country refers to Rockfish as 'Striped Bass', and in my experience as a fish monger in Maryland we used this term to distinguish farmed from wild (i.e. striped bass = farmed ; rockfish = wild)
