Nebelung cats are medium-length gray hairs with hazel eyes, and it can be frustrating trying to tell them apart. Aside from the occasional white patches and minor face-shape variations, they look remarkably similar. They often have similar, almost dog-like, demeanors.

Definitely still worth reporting to OP though.

I will be alone with my dog for the first year while my partner is finishing up their studies elsewhere and joining me later.

Most important thing I’m looking for is accessibility to large parks/hiking trails and safety. I do plan on bringing my car so areas with lower car break in rates would be ideal and don’t mind driving 20-30 minutes to the JHU medical campus. Thanks in advance!

I guess areas accessible to large/safe parks would be the main thing. I like to hike a lot but that would require me to drive out of Baltimore. I don’t drink or smoke so don’t need to be in the lively city area. I do plan to bring my car so ideally in a place where there are lower rates of car break in too. Thanks!

The travel time north to NYC is hampered by the tunnel from NJ into NYC, since it's only two tracks in a very old tunnel that lacks maintenance. It's also shared with all the trains coming from NJ. The Hudson Tunnel project is addressing that issue by building a new tunnel with two additional tracks and rehabilitating the existing tunnel.

Southbound there is a new tunnel going in under Reservoir Hill that will replace the B&P tunnel which is also old and lacking maintenance but doesn't allow for higher speeds.

Overall the entire NEC corridor is getting some pretty major upgrades so in the next 10-20 years we should hopefully see decreased travel times between DC and NYC as well as increased frequency of trains.
