Most like Pittsburgh but that’s not quite east coast.

None. None of those cities have affordable housing. Baltimore still does.
You're not going to find any property in turnkey condition for $125k. But you will in Baltimore.
The vibe, nightlife, etc etc means nothing if you can't afford to live there.

I've seen them along the Jones Falls by Round Falls, and at Stony Run, and on my front porch in Remington once.

I lived in Philly before moving here. I don’t see it.
Philly seems hostile to me. When I got here I was shocked that people you don’t know will just greet you on the street.
Philly had much better food, but Baltimore is catching up.
Philly is a proper city. Baltimore is a big town.

the guy who (according to wikipedia) invented sociolinguistics lumped them into one accent.

I've lived here my whole life and I can just barely tell the difference in accents. They're really, really similar.

probably the only people on earth who can tell the difference between a philly and bmore accent are people from one of those two places. or that guy who does those videos.

Similar to Philly but definitely has a vibe similar to Richmond.
Both have a great quirky Christmas parade the first weekend of December.

Love visiting Philly. People are mostly very cool there. Told some people I was from Baltimore and they told me how they visited recently and had a great time. Contrast that with people from NYC who ask me if it’s like the wire and look surprised I haven’t been murdered yet.

Love how its not even close - Philly is very similar to Baltimore, just bigger.

Second time she's filmed in Baltimore, I think. She filmed some of "The Invasion" with Daniel Craig here in late 2005.

In Baltimore? For my benefit? Absolutely, 100% I want special interests deciding.

Yah, my kid’s school was on lockdown due to a rabid fox on the grounds. Hence, and I thought this was about the Fox network attacking Baltimore.

Joke's on you, special interests are way more aligned with my needs than any populist could ever be.

I live between Clifton and Herring Run park and I see foxes on a regular basis while walking the dogs late at night. Just last week I had a particularly fearless one that was stalking some stray cats.
I'd also seen one before when I lived near Greenmount Cemetery, but not regularly like where I am now.

Be careful what you wish for. If you think the city is dysfunctional and corrupt now, just wait until 2024, when our entire city government (except for comptroller) is replaced at once and special interests have an even more outsized influence on city elections.
Baltimore did a stupid thing approving question K. There are much better way to impose term limits.

I still use it as the live data and cut-run and projected cut-run data is way better than other options (thought not always accurate still), but the trip planning has gotten terrible for me. It ignores buses that are closest to me and that it even shows as live and on-time; just doesn't show them as options when trip planning, and tries to give me completely non-sensical routings (like walking 20 minutes) etc. Don't know what's up with that.

Yeah the vibrant communities with a lacking city center, and nonsense traffic patterns really pushes it more towards Pittsburgh in my opinion. Every city on this list has a pretty cool city center
