Yeah, it’s a little pricey, my wife took me for my birthday.

She had the risotto and loved it, and can be very particular, so that’s a good bet. We also had the latin gyoza, the halloumi and corn cake (incredible) and I had the octopus. For dessert we split the cacao cake.

They are usually short staffed (especially when it’s busy) but they try to be nice about it. As for the coffee, I’m not much of a connoisseur so I can’t really speak to the quality. To me, it’s fine, but if you have high standards maybe it would be underwhelming?

I JUST HAD THOSE THIS WEEKEND. Have both! Menu and availability change, so I keep up with it on Insta.

The cute table over the Jones Falls is back by the bike rack / far rear entrance.

For dessert, get the ridiculously rich chocolate chip cookies at Gundalow Gourmet. And don't sleep on the GG prepared meals and soups in their freezer display.

Heritage Kitchen in Whitehall Mill for modern Filipino food. Chef Rey is amazing. I have a hard time choosing what to order because EVERYTHING is so good. Check the hours and menu on Instagram. In warm weather, take your food outside to the single table that's built over the Jones Falls.

I honestly didn't see that they had guns already drawn, and I foolishly thought I could hit him and make a run for it. Probably he wasn't even actually aiming at me, but the pistol went off and the two of them dashed into a waiting getaway car and sped away.

Renting out places and making them rentable isn't an easy task. It takes money, time, effort and patience that people don't always have. It also ignores lawsuits, issues with the house that you don't know of and millions of other things.

If people are leaving a rentable place that can make them money empty, there's probably a real good reason for it. This is coming from someone who had all kinds of issues with mortgage companies, repairmen and bad tenants.

Spring Cafe looks cool, but I always worry that it's going to go under because I never see anyone there. The new hot dog place looks like it won't last. Then there's a bunch of empty storefronts because of Waffie, the Middle Eastern place that looks like it might finally open soon, the Urban Oyster sign that's been sitting there for almost a year, etc. Also, that Bar Fusion that used to be Bella Italia is a pain in the butt. They blast music halfway down the street and it's obnoxious.
