But it is fairly safe.

I think there's a noticeable drop in quality of a lot of the stuff at Aldi, especially their off-brand stuff. I've been much happier with Lidl.

I'm aware of this, but I can personally make the decision to avoid it if I want. I'm not saying I'm saving the world here, and I do understand the need for larger industries/corporations to do their direct part in changing their business processes, but that doesn't mean I want to stop be conscious of it on account that it won't make a dent. It's more a psychological thing, really.

I like that they appoint an inspector to find fraud and waste and then attack the office when waste and fraud is found.
Why does it seem like every politician is just a shitty grinder.
Also its apparently cheap as fuck to get whatever you want from these assholes. $5k from a business and $2500 personal check gets you a $70k private driveway.

I don’t like their coffee generally and I’m too poor to buy it on the regular, but I’d still love to pay this place a visit anyway just to support the Union. Workers are people just like you and me.

I design t-shirts for Amazon. I can make you one.
I wouldn't make one exactly like the one on ratczar, since it would be infringing their copyright, but I could make you something similar. What about something like a rat with the MD flag in it?

While I agree with you, you're buying into an effort by corporate America to shift the onus of saving the world onto the consumer. Which they happily find ways to profit off of - lots of people happily buy garbage because it's plastic free. This conveniently gets people focused on tiny contributors of greenhouse gasses while flagrant polluters fly under the radar. I bet a single week-long cruise generates more CO2 than all of the excess plastic in all Aldis worldwide in a year.

No labor is “simple” or else everyone would just choose that one occupation. A person working at a high-rise might be in a cushy chair but they might not be able to lay their child to bed etc etc

I think that people's problem with Aldi is that they went into food deserts where there were no grocery stores, and got the reputation of being a low-income grocery store. I shopped there all of the time when I lived in the UK, so was familiar with what a good store it was when they arrived here. Same for Lidl.

As I was waiting for the actual tow truck one of those MDOT people just driving around stopped but I didn't even ask options at that point, but very useful for future

So I made this post kinda hoping for some good local kinda current reviews, so I ended up going with this company that my girlfriends brother knows, I tell him "I have card or cash app". Mind you I only know him by his first name, phone number, and personal-ish history with, he tells me "cash app works, its just my number" so I copied, pasted his number and noticed the cash tag looked super familiar. Took me a minute or two to realize it was THIS COMMENT! Highly recommend Chrishelles Towing, he was super nice, super quick, and reasonably priced. Definitely gonna leave a real review but in case anyone comes here searching. Definitely recommend.

It actually just depends on the contract and whether or not employees are allowed to strike between negotiations. Most contracts have a very limited window with striking ability.

Except everyone watching adds to the total viewership which just gives fifa the go ahead to continue being shitty. If this ends up getting massively lower ratings than previous world cups that at least shows that people aren't ok with this.
Is it really so much to give up?

From the article
>Baltimore County officials spent nearly $70,000 from a program intended for homeowners to instead help a business person quickly repave a Towson alley next to their business, at the insistence of Council Chair Julian Jones, according to an inspector general report issued Thursday.

The Codex Club is a good option, they have items from a bunch of local artists and free shipping on orders over $50.
Edit to add: Including stuff from Rat Czar!

I love Wegman's, but their meat and seafood prices are ludicrous. Everything else is reasonable, and their store brands are usually great (eg, if you like seltzer, Wegman's brand is the best in both price and variety of flavors).
