The money you save is worth it; i was lucky enough to buy a newly remodeled house that came with a one car driveway; i paid an extra 1500$ and expanded it and now i can fit both of our cars

I also recommend getting an EV; i travelled to Ohio to trade in my Tesla, for a Hyundai ioniq 5; My wife has a bolt that we picked up from NJ.

She teleworks, so her total cost to commute per week; 1.45$

I go to work 4 days a week at most, my cost to commute 100 miles a day ( 50 miles one way) so 400 miles a week; i estimate 8$ a week

To clarify, i bought a Tesla charger and installed that in my driveway

I’m also ganna experiment with the MARC this week, but it cost more to get round trip train tickets than for me to drive

Oo, ok. Lemme double check with the fambly to make sure I don't have any competing obligations, my sister is coming down from Cumberland for the holiday and she can't do Xmas. I think she'll be on her way back by Fri evening but I gotta confirm.

Edit: Also how much are the tickets? Can I Zelle you or do you prefer cash?

I have a serious Kryptonite chain, and I keep a cover over it. Register the chain with Kryptonite, and keep your codes written down. Their warranty claims to replace the value of whatever was stolen, assuming they break through the chain. Some folks add numerous locks, and thing to make it harder to roll away.

That said, any lock is a deterrent, and never a guarantee. Some folks Airtag their rides too.

I've had a Hyperscorpion for about a year and a half and it mostly stays locked out front. When I'm traveling for longer periods I bring it into my fenced back yard and keep my locks on it anyway.

My point is that you don’t have to go downtown to get around the county, but you chose to skip over that. To get from cville high to randallstpwn high it’s one bus. To get from cville to towson it IS faster to go downtown and get on the 8 @ gay/Fayetteville or take the light rail from Pratt. You’re being dramatic.

Transit in baltimore does actually work decently AND the map OP posted makes perfect sense for rails, while busses can compliment along routes that aren’t necessarily directly into the city center but between neighborhoods or cities.

And for what it’s worth? I’ve lived, owned and paid taxes on property on mccabe, fawcett, Evesham, and many other “not so perfect” streets in this city while using the transit system just fine, so go fuck yourself.
