Halal Food Cart is the answer if you want to take food back to the courthouse. But there are still a good number of old favorites open- Cafe Poupon, David and Dads, Werners, are some good eat-in options. La Calle I think is open at lunch if you want to take it up a notch.

Thanks for the response! I was curious, because ever since moving from the Philadelphia area almost 5 years ago, I've been sort of intrigued.

It seems as if every place that serves a Philly cheesesteak puts - at minimum - lettuce, tomato, and onion on it; most I've seen put mayo as well. In and around Philadelphia, that's a Cheesesteak Hoagie, or sub in Maryland. A classic standard cheesesteak is just the meat and cheese, but it's very rare to find any place in the Baltimore area that serves it that way by default.

Ultimately not a big deal, and I've learned how I need to order to get what I'm looking for. It's just been interesting seeing how consistent it seems to be.

They have the Original Cheesesteak Sub:

"Lettuce tomato mayo hot peppers grilled onions and provolone cheese."

The Philly Cheesesteak:

"Lettuce tomatoes onions and cheddar cheese."

But I always get the Supreme

"Lettuce tomato mayo hots green peppers mushrooms fried onions and provolone cheese."

There's always a ton of meat and toppings, and their fries are thick, crispy, and seasoned.

And they're definitely open!
