If you’re willing to have a roommate or two, the city is your oyster for $600 or so, but on your own, there’s really no chance unless you really scrape the bottom of the barrel.

The article says they have been trying to keep them up and have put a lot of money into them.

They are not perfectly good buildings, the article says they are dilapidated and can’t be restored. It says the church was gifted these buildings and has paid a lot of money to try to keep them up, but they are structurally not sound. The other thing to consider is you know what happens when there’s a vacant building in the city. I do think it’s very sad but it is also not right to force the church to keep this up when they are saying it is near impossible.

Is it a steel wheel or aluminum rim? If it’s an aluminum factory rim, you could check eBay for a single factory rim.

I unfortunately had to get a new rim for my 2015 Hyundai a couple months ago. I called Crazy Ray’s and they had one on a shelf already removed.
You might have the same luck since your Honda is a 2014. I think anything older and we would have had to roam the junkyard looking for a replacement. 😅
I only paid $30 👍

Shows how disconnected churches are from the communities they “serve”.

This narrative that building that are standing can’t be savaged is ridiculous. You put braces up and underpin doesn’t take a world renowned developer to oversee a project like this.

This is really sad. I’m all for de commercialization but like..people need safe places to live here and mt v is on of the few good and affordable places left not to mention that is beautiful architecture. Sigh.

Another reason why corporations/churches shouldnt be allowed to own property like this. Absurd that you can run historic properties into the ground and then go oops it must be town down for our benefit.

You can find a pretty complete list of every concert in the city at the BaltShowplace tumblr or on their IG of the same name as well as a list of all the venues and their addresses. You should look at Ottobar, Metro Gallery, the Crown, Keystone Corner, Joe Squared, Zissimos, and Holy Frijoles for music. The Monument Lighting is happening in Mt Vernon Thursday night, big Mt Vernon neighborhood event. No apartment of any size has been available for only $600 for like 15 years, in that price range you're getting a small room in a rowhome with roommates.

You can find rooms in houses for $600. But the lowest for a studio/efficiency you’ll find is $800
Go to keystone corner for jazz

I’m talking about the Greek Orthodox Church owned buildings. They are demolishing for a prayer garden, not school expansion

Denmark has a good one. They point out to what I can only assume is the other Scandinavian countries that they can actually grow plants in their country and have a nice beach. They also remind the world that they used to be rather violent Vikings. Oh, they point out that their women are gorgeous.
Pure trolling.

Cant believe this would be allowed to happen. Mount Vernon usually is pretty strict about shit like this

The Loyola School is a school for children Pre-K2 to 1st grade) whose families make less than $29k/year. The buildings were not approved for classrooms, hence their need to rise 3 buildings.

Fells Point for music.
Eat at Ekiben for lunch.
Check out Cat’s Eye Pub. Live music every day, and people there will often know where other live music is.
Don’t go to anything owned by Atlas Group. It’s all mediocre, overpriced, and owned by racist shitheads.
Other areas to check out: Hampden, Remington, Charles Village, Old Goucher, Station North, Mt Vernon, Canton, Fed Hill
A $600 apartment seems exceedingly unlikely. Single rooms in houses are offered at $900.
If you find a studio/one bed in a decent neighborhood under 1200 you’re lucky.

Lol it says 10s of thousands of dollars... For several houses over 3 decades. That's like the cost of a new ac unit per house. Your typical homeowner puts more money into their house than that
