>Cross St/Charles St nightlife area,

The area that's had three shootings in the past month, and two days ago a brawl where one woman beat another woman to the ground, lifted her head up by the hair, and kept punching her?

Cause that's the area I work in, and I saw that incident first hand two days ago.

What came through was that the fed hill club scene is not one I'd really recommend to anyone. Hampden and Canton are much better to actually enjoy a night out and not have to worry about some drunk asshole starting something.

Yes I was referring more to the Cross St/Charles St nightlife area, which depending on one’s individual taste, age, preferences, etc., could be appealing or unappealing. Did not mean to imply Federal Hill is “only” that scene though, so apologies if that’s what came through in my original post.

Places like Canton, Fells Point and Fed Hill that are walkable and have night life, generally don’t have good parking situations. These neighborhoods work best if you don’t own a car. If you’re planning on driving to a job, look at neighborhoods just outside of them, however, the nightlife will be a bit further away and you’ll probably want to look at buying a bike or renting/buying e-scooter. We’re working on improving public transit, but it’s a slow process. If you do want to own a car and live in Baltimore and your job ends up being south of the tunnels, then look south of the tunnel and visa-versa if north. This avoids the biggest bottleneck of the highways and saves you some money since you don’t necessarily need an ezpass if you don’t go through the tunnels often.

Call AAA - it's not cheap, but you can have their services come out even if you're not a member (you may have to join). My parents canceled their family AAA membership without telling me and I got a dead battery - I was still able to get the battery service to come out, albeit for an additional charge.

A bad battery with a few dead cells will still operate a vehicle, but won't hold a charge for very long, possibly resulting in it frequently dying. You should still be able to jump it - though I would get the battery tested ASAP. I jumped my last car a bunch of time, and it can damage electrical components over time.

Call AAA - you can sign up for a membership and they can send a truck out asap. Get it towed to a mechanic and get the issue diagnosed there. I had to have my suv towed last year when it wouldn’t charge - turned out to be an electrical issue, not the battery. I didn’t have the street sweeping deadline, just needed my car. I think it was 6 or 7 bucks to sign up and they towed to my preferred mechanic because it was close. Good luck.

Either something is on that is draining the battery or your alternator is dead. Pretty much any tow truck can determine that when they give you a jump.

As far as notifying the city, there isn't anyway to avoid the ticket. You have to move the vehicle.

>I don’t know your age, but Federal Hill has good safety/walkability and lots of nightlife options

I work in the heart of the fed hill nightlife, so I'm just gonna call you out on that. The more clublike bars are ratchet as all hell, but the further you get into fed, and get into the smaller bars, the more chill it gets.

It’s a pretty bikeable area. On a bike or scooter you have everything you need without ever getting into a car. Some things may be a longer walk which is why I say bikeable. Depending on where you are in Highlandtown, the market on eastern may be a bit of a hike. Target is considerably far for a walk, but some people do it. Within the range of a bike or scooter, you have dozens of restaurants and bars. Walkability/bikability is livability to me and it sounds like it is to you as well OP, since you’re asking about it.
