It really hasn’t been too bad in recent times. It seems like if you get there before 6-6:30 you’re likely to get a table right away. People line up before 5 to get in but there’s still plenty of seats since they expanded the dining room.

We used Ally and had a wonderful experience their online portal made everything super easy and they were fairly responsive to us. We went with them strictly on a they were the cheapest rates and their loan estimater with no credit check was really useful when we’re in the research stage.

The Pratt Library! In addition to the normal library stuff, they provide legal and social worker services as well as lend sewing machines/computers/all sorts of things. Plus lots of great programming for kids.

But…..that’s all the webpage does…..promote local breweries. You have to scroll by 10 locals before you even see Guinness.

Often the biggest issue with churning out this kind of content is quickly getting available acceptable to use images (either licensed, approved, or public domain). Guinness was going to be the quickest and easiest option. That’s just how things shake out sometimes.

Lol I love how your brain chose MARC as the train, meanwhile MARC stock has the name plastered all over the side. Is that just the only rail based transport you're aware of in Baltimore?

This.

Get off of your cell phone when you're walking, pay attention to where you are.

If you're working on their campus, they have a campus escort they will take you from your building to your parking garage/apartment if you feel it's necessary.

Welcome to the City, u/whatugonnadowhenthey ! Come into the City with a positive outlook and you'll love it here.

Um. Based on what logic? Walking around printing tickets is far more attractive of a profession than being a fucking cop in Baltimore.. not even danger aspect just because there is such hate (justifiably) for police here.

What they really need to do is put traffic/non-emergency services etc. under an entirely seperate authority.

Instead of Healthcare for the Homeless, donate to Housing our Neighbors. They're a homeless led group organizing to end homelessness. They led the way to homeless folks being housed in vacant hotels during the pandemic instead of death trap shelters that had inhumane conditions even before the pandemic.

Healthcare for the Homeless does not share this mission- they treat the symptoms of homelessness, not the cause. Not saying that's not important, but its not the solution, either. This thread is full of recommendations for groups that work to make the poor more comfortable, but don't address the causes of poverty. Charity is not enough.
