Staying in populated, well lit areas should prevent any problems. Would recommend bringing foamy ear plugs, or some type of noise protection, because it can get loud in that venue.

Not super familiar with the whole school but the area right around UMMC can be pretty rough. Anybody that regularly goes there either has no other option or is really confident. It has similar street rules to a third world country.

Richard Pazornik at Meridian mortgage is the best in town. He’s also got some really nice programs that don’t charge mortgage insurance if you’re not putting down 20%(its not LPMI either it’s just a portfolio product without MI) will save you 200-900 a month depending on the size of the mortgage

Cannabis has a very direct link to car fatalities. I’m not saying whether you should or shouldn’t smoke, but PSA: it is not safe to operate a motor vehicle while under the influence of marijuana.

According to that map the big problem block is actually part of the Patterson park neighborhood. But that GIS map is kinda odd. It has a Patterson Park and a Patterson Park Neighborhood section. I was pretty sure the Highlandtown Neighborhood association covered the first block of Leverton (the one I’m talking about, the 3200 block, to the west of Highland.)

At the very least you’ll find in a neighborhood like canton or fed or fells, you’ll park your car on Friday night and rarely move it until Monday morning. Most places on the weekend you’ll walk to (or scoot or bike) and giving up your parking spot is a risky proposition on the weekend. Owning two cars for one person isn’t really conducive to city living in a lot of Baltimore tbh. You may want to see if you can leave one car at a relatives or something if it’s just an occasional drive or collectible vehicle. We have a 48 hour rule in Baltimore city, where your car must move every 48 hours or it can be ticketed, so parking a seldom used vehicle on the street for storage will likely end up with tickets.

Just pay attention to your surroundings and you’ll be fine. My buddies and I are taking 5 kids age 8 through teen to a show there this weekend.

Baltimore Hunger Project https://www.baltimorehungerproject.org/

Their focus is feeding kids on weekends, when they can't get a meal at school, but they also collect new coats and winter gear for kids they serve.

Great question :) Happy Thanksgiving

I also cared a lot about this (bc how hard is it to address an email to my partner AND me!). I had a great experience with Rob Bassett. He was with a different company at the time, but he's here now: https://mcleanmortgage.com/loan_officer/rob-bassett/

I don't know if you're using any of the city or employer grant programs, but Rob was also super familiar with them (and they can be kind of tricky for how they fit into your overall financing/closing).
