Junk it or replace the subframe. It's unsafe in its current status and shouldn't be on the road.
I get wanting a cheap car to toddle around town but this ain't it.

Your best bet is sell the car for what you have in it to someone out of state. Very difficult to sell an as is car in MD for any decent amount because as you learned the inspection cost can kill the value of the car. Sucks to learn this way but that's probably your least expensive option. Get it gone.

Only if you’re buying it from a registered dealership in MD. Not if it’s out of state or if it’s private sale.

How did they short you cents? Btw Suntrust is Truist! It was a merger between suntrust and BB&T. Suntrust mortgage overtook BB&T and they run the show.

If the car is sold "as is" it is the buyer's responsibility to have it inspected. Almost all private sales are "as is" unless stated otherwise in the sales contract

I’m not talking about a state inspection, I’m talking about a private, pre-purchase inspection at a trusted mechanic. It’s a good way to both see if there are any major issues with the car, and have a little bargaining chip if it needs work.

No, but it's the purchase experience that's the nightmare, not the inspection/registration. Annual inspections like they make you do in NY are their own sort of annoyance, but they help prevent this sort of thing.

This is all the info about the arrests that is in the article currently:
>Baltimore police said the first arrests have been made in connection to a string of robberies involving people posing as ride-share drivers.
>It's not clear how many arrests have been made, but police said they're working with multiple businesses to track down suspects.
Good job BPD! At least it's multiple arrests. I'm glad they started catching whoever was doing this.

I believe it's the sellers job to have it inspected before selling in Maryland.

I love not far from there and it’s a pretty normal neighborhood. People are generally polite and as long as you don’t think you live in Montana or something (lock your doors, lock your car) it’s fine.

Just to add to what others have said - it’s a historical thing in Baltimore that is very common. You just pay a small amount twice a year but as a matter of Maryland law the other party doesn’t have any real rights or anything over the land as long as you pay. You also have a statutory right to redeem it so you own the whole property in fee simple, but it’s usually cheaper to just pay the ground rent (and your mortgage company is generally the one paying it for you out of your payments).
Some non-local lenders have problems with it though because to them it seems similar to buying a home built on leased land, which is often the kind of thing they won’t finance, but they may not tell you that until pretty far in the process.

Be sure it’s an all ages show. We used to take our daughter when she was a young teen. In fact the only issue I have with Rams head is that the owner put cameras in the women’s bathrooms in Annapolis many years ago.

It's cool as hell [edit: /s] that the Republican candidate for CC Pres in 2020 is now a nonpartisan group to be quoted in news articles.

It looks as though Nick Mosby put forward a bill for elected officials to qualify for a lifetime pension after serving 8 years in city government. This was after voters overwhelmingly voted for 8 year term limits for elected officials.
City council members voted 8-5 to pass the bill and it heads Mayor Scott to sign into law or veto.

People in Baltimore: "yea of course, that's why they did it"
And I think everyone should recognize that ALL politicians are slime, Baltimore's maybe more slimy than the average, but politicians are not heros.

Say the mortgage payment was $2,000.51. They would always enter it as $2,000.00. I always overpay my mortgage too, trying to get debt free asap, so I think they thought I was ridiculous overpaying by $xxx and dickering about $0.xx.
