Agree by and large, but re: (2) this bill doesn't change the pension payout, just when people become eligible for it.

Possibly, also likely desperation with higher cost of living and a lack of jobs. Not to say that these criminals would immediately jump on an hourly job but long term the only solution is opportunity and for many in Baltimore that's just not something on their radar.

I'm a rigger and have worked several shows there over the years. the ceiling is incredibly awkward to hang shows effectively, requiring common use of a very uncommon technique that might only ever need regular use in maybe one or two other venues in the country, from what I've been told. hopefully they're doing some work up in the ceiling as well lol.

That's a little more of a unique situation though since aircraft are so large. Kind of hard to keep a ton of aircraft in a museum in downtown DC, even harder to physically get them there.
The rest of the museums by and large have much smaller artifacts and exhibits than udvar hazy does.

Better than burning the trash to make energy.
Unfortunately we live in a disposable society and until drastic changes are made to that mindset we need things like this as a bandaid on the problems we have caused.

I got a transom from them years ago that was great, also got a replica miniature version of it when I moved that was also great.

Yes? A city government is usually recommended. What else do you have in mind?

Would you prefer to have an executive with functionally unchecked power?
We can have a serious conversation about the perceptions and realities of the current iteration of the City Council, but the body has a very real purpose.

The B&O Railroad Museum is a Smithsonian affiliate and displays items on loan from them.

Reply to MVA Inspection Nightmare by ComprehensiveGear208
I requested a temporary registration while I dealt with the inspection stuff, which bought me more time (another month I believe) and allowed me to drive around legally while I fixed my car for it to pass inspection. So if you haven’t already, you can do that in the mean time. Can’t speak to anything else though, sorry.

I always wonder why these are so hard to track down. Uber/Lyft won't let you ride for free, so presumably stolen/invalid cards won't work. Should be plenty of ID and GPS data to work with.

Yeah, crime has always been an issue but people have become more brazen with their disreputable actions towards other people. Is lacking consequences an issue?

I would hope Uber Lyft and BCPD are all making this an absolute top priority, b/c:
-
There should be a ton of data available to track this down.
-
This will be absolute poison for entertainment spending in the city if it continues or spreads.
-
This could be an giant threat to Uber and Lyft if it started happening more widely, esp globally

In addition to the peace order I'm assuming you'll want to break this lease with no penalties to you. You should strictly follow your attorney's advice. If you're unclear on any of it ask for clarification. The same is true for the documentation - tell him what you have and ask which documentation will be useful for both the order and to break this lease and move to someplace where the people are sane.

It is the reason the Baltimore Bullets left and there is no NBA and no NHL in Baltimore. Even the Baltimore Blast left for SECU Arena in Towson. Acoustically inferior for concerts. Good for the circus I suppose but there are no more circuses. Their website does have a whopping 3 days of scheduled events in the next 6 months. I think that says it all.

I hate to see waste energy classified as renewable, because it creates an economic pressure to maintain the status quo in regards to our attitudes about consumption and waste.

It really isn’t corrupt, it’s simple logic. Voters passed term limits, the consequence of that is that virtually nobody will then qualify for pensions per the current formula.
They should either (1) get rid of the term limits or (2) amend the pension to kick in after 8 years but be either lower paying or proportional in some manner.
What is corrupt, though, is the Sinclair scheme behind all of these changes to City government and the impact it’ll have.

Getting their kicks before Bates comes in next week and starts bringing down the hammer, perhaps?
At least I hope that’s what he does. Expectations very low, but hoping to be surprised.
