Reply to Who was the genius that decided to essentially make Charles st a 1 lane road by adding the new bus lane? by Purple_Box3317
Building subways is very costly. (Bus lanes with clean buses running on electric power) that are reliable and go where people want to h could improve transit very quickly.

I would still argue it’s better than giving former officer holders absolutely no pension. It also might not be legal for them to amend the size of their own pensions - I know for Congress, when they change their pay rates, it takes effect for the next Congress not the current.
Plus, what’s being missing in all the analysis here on Reddit is it’s changing it from 12 years to 8 years. It’s a reduction of a single term, and aligns with the new term limits.
Overall, it’s people freaking out over something that’s logical and not super corrupt, and that freak out only plays into the hands of those trying to further fuck up our government.

There is parking basically attached to Ramshead. Go in the back of Ramshead building. Yes, you probably have to cut through The Block a little. Avert your eyes. The elevator in the garage puts you into Ramshead. I go to 50 plus concerts a year all over. It is safe in there. Highly recommend Underground Pizza next to Ramshead.

Reply to comment by PVinesGIS in Baltimore County's landfill transforms rotting garbage gas into electricity to combat climate change by lmshertz
To say that this project promotes the continuation of landfills is like saying paying someone to pick up cigarette butts off the street promotes smoking. The gas is there already. They have to burn it already to convert it into CO2. It's simply a way to capture waste and pollution that would have been there anyway. This is a county run landfill it is not profitable

I mean it's old and worn down, but it's there. It's like Baltimore itself. What's more annoying to me is that you can't just go online and pay it.

Hi there! We're working with GRIA on this; the next step is to complete the analysis using this data during the holidays. After that, we’ll be meeting with the community to share those results, as well as collaborate on the design.

If you've already called 911 about this and your landlord is aware that this person is living in your building (whether or not he's on a lease), I'd think about what your preferred resolution is here, because it sounds like either you should move or this couple should. It's possible that a peace order will be helpful in this, but I wouldn't look at it as a solution in and of itself.

Reply to Clavel on a weeknight? by pussybulldozer_69
I'll add my experience just as an FYI. I have gone twice on a weeknight recently but on the later side (7:45-8pm). Both times I was told that the wait would be 45 minutes. Both times I went over to WC Harlan to have a drink while I waited. Both times Clavel actually called me 10-15 minutes later and I had to scramble to pay my tab for the drink and get back over to Clavel. If you go at this time (around 8) you can just put your name in and it's only about a 10-15 minute wait.

it's that window over a door. Used to be able to open them to get cross ventilation without opening the door.

I first read it that way, too, but I think the commenter you're replying to was only saying that he hopes that they're only attempting to get away with these crimes until we reach a point where the crimes will be punished adequately to limit them. Not that they're trying to get away with them because they're currently aware of the transition to a new state's attorney.
I'm also not confident that much will be done to limit the amount of crime that's being committed by teens as young as 13, it seems, in a more immediate way.

You have to take your daughter to Vaccaro's in Little Italy for their gelato and sweets. Patisserie Poupon is across the street from Ramshead (take the Metro underpass). You'll be in the Inner Harbor area so there's lots of stuff for kids - the Aquarium is great, Visionary Arts Museum... you'll be fine in the harbor area, it's very touristy.

I try to point people to the story of the guys that robbed a "cop bar" type restaurant in like 2017. Most of the stuff you see around Baltimore isn't like some well thought out mission impossible. People are impulsive and/or desperate. And you'll get a person or a small group of people that commit the same crimes with the same m.o. like 4 times in a row in a span of 24 hours. For the most part they're not like slipping in and out of the shadows between police shifts or calculating the hours until a new states attorney takes office.

I’m in the county and have 400mps for $89.99 a month. Internet only. Give them a call and say you want to only have internet and they might give you a decent deal or they’ll let you downgrade to internet only.

Yeah, I doubt that teenagers with guns are really that politically aware as a whole, much less basing their violent crimes on who is likely to be elected

The new billion dollar renovation of the Air and Space museum just opened phase 1 of 3 and it’s pretty awesome so far. It’s right next to the Hirshhorn.
I hate that they keep the cool big stuff in Virginia hahah, but I don’t know the plans for the future space at the new spot. It’s massive.

Also it should be noted that’s it’s reducing the years served from 12 to 8.
