Good to know. I’ll look into it. Probably doesn’t warrant the time off of work, but it would be great to stick it to the man!

Fuck that so hard... I'd recommend a Credit Union if it's not too late.

There’s a bunch of “no right turn on red… on school days” signs in my neighborhood, and I’m actually really curious how dialed in the cops are to the school schedule.

Ivan Bates. New SA about to take over Marilyn Mosby’s job. He’s pledged to be tougher on crime but he’s also done both prosecution and defense so I’m optimistic that he understands in certain cases rehabilitation might be the more appropriate approach too. Basically his approach seems way more nuanced than Mosby’s which was basically let all low level crime slide for sake of not locking up minorities, while it also doesn’t seem like he’s gonna go gung ho lock people up for the rest of their lives for some drugs either.

That makes sense. Hopefully a governor who might prioritize the city's concerns more than Hogan and a States Attorney who seems to have a good head on his shoulders can move things in the right direction.

Respectfully, unless there is drastically more to the story, you will be unable to get a peace order- your roommate making you uncomfortable by repeatedly asking a weird question (which sucks!) isn't going to rise to the level needed for a peace order.
It sounds like you have a lawyer, and another place lined up to live- that's good. Have the lawyer review your lease and possibly contact your landlord about the earliest date that you could move out.
Also, I might reccomend reaching out to a therapist or other mental health professional- they're covered under many insurance plans. It seems like you're going through a pretty stressful situation, and a mental health professional might be able to give you some useful tools for managing it.

I voted for term limits and what I’d prefer is 2 terms with a new official for the 3rd. During the 4th term the previous incumbent can win his seat back now that the city has a true comp. With this new head to head you can earn your pension.
If mosby really cared what the people think of his pensions he’d would ask the people instead of voting to enrich his colleagues with a rushed bill.
You may disagree but this notion that mosby is assuming this is what the people who want term limits wants is purposefully dishonest. I get it, you don’t like term limits which is all the more reason you shouldn’t interpret the intentions of the majority who do.

The state and position of signage here is becoming increasingly problematic. Some are obscured by foliage. Some are obscured because Work Vans, Trucks and SUVs have gotten so big that you can't see them. As an example, I've nearly run intersections in the city because I couldn't see the STOP signs obscured behind them.
I got ticketed once in Fell's because the parking rules had been changed with an addendum that was posted - and I can't exaggerate this - barely one (1) foot off the ground on the pole that no reasonable person would've looked at.

Reply to Light rail by AlwaysGrateful710
Being on the lightrail itself is safe. However I'm not sure how safe all of the stations/stops are. In terms of reliability, it's a gamble. I've been riding it regularly and when it works, it's great! But there are too many times where something causes the lightrail not to show up on time, and the transit app doesn't always provide a description on why the lightrail is late or how long the delay is. I have also had times where it gives inaccurate data.
However, if you are going in the morning and your station stop is beyond N. Linthicum (you're not going to BWI or Cromwell, which are the final stops southbound), you should be fine. The odds of a lightrail breaking down aren't as high in the early morning. It's the evening ones where things can get iffy in terms of being on schedule

What part of Charles St has a bus lane now? Is that downtown near the harbor? Aren't the roads already 4 lanes wide down there?

If you have the time, contest the ticket. Judges don't enjoy dealing with parking disputes and will usually let you off if you have a half decent reason, and this picture probably counts.

There have been a lot of carjackings in Hampden. Used to be every year or two there’d be a gang out doing carjackings or muggings for a weekend, but this year it has just kept going and going.
This week they were carjacking Uber drivers to steal the car, pick up the next passenger, and rob them.

The city has been propping itself up for a long time. It was always going to get worse before it got better. Continual focus on short term solutions and greater police funding has only made this worse.
We need to do something about the actual problems, not just tough on crime short term solutions. That sort of technique isn’t going to keep teenagers from doing what they do.

Yeah. Wouldn’t count on it subsiding without the city doing anything.
A recession is here, whether it’s official or not. The working class never fully recovered from 2008, and is already feeling terrible effects of inflation.
People are desperate, and desperate people do desperate things.

I'm more surprised by stealing money via the Zelle or cashapp. Presumably that has got to be the easiest crime to solve in the history of crime.
