Not a personal grievance. I literally watched how certain communities very rarely got his attention and others would see him there get frequently.

If he was extremely popular in his district, he should easily be able to convert that popularity into a successful city council president run. That popularity would have a positive spillover. His Whiteness has nothing to do with his inability to win. White candidates can win citywide races in Baltimore. It's his lack of attention to the entirety of his district

Bro. Whether it's "normal" or not doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things.

This is Baltimore.

Need I say more? I shouldn't anyone that knows this city understands exactly what I am talking about and it's not about tolerating crime, or somehow pretending it doesn't happen. It's being in tune with the sad realities of this place.

Please be assured that what I am speaking on isn't about condoning crime but it's about teaching a new generation HOW to navigate somewhere that's different from what they are used to.

Frankly, that kind of education is priceless and something they can take with them wherever they go in life.

So please don't give me a hard time when I am merely trying to be helpful.

THIS. Also, for the realistic amount of time it would take to implement the light rail project vs. BRT current transit riders would literally just have to give up and not have a functioning system for at least the next 10 years ,and then after a decade we'd get one MAYBE two light rail lines...

Ardmore PA, right outside Philly, has Maido, a Japanese grocery. If you’re already heading that way, I highly recommend it. It’s right next to the train station too, so you could ride there if you wanted.

Not all their prices are great, but they have tons of Japanese goods and food that I miss a lot!

I used furnished finder for my baltimore stay recently. You can submit a housing request and put what you’re looking for, and it alerts landlords within those parameters and they can reach out to you. There are A LOT in baltimore!

Given that basically everybody at JHU now grew up in the active shooter drill era, I think it could be enlightening if you paid a visit and tried to share your thoughts on normalcy in this regard.
