He tried multiple times. I also tried for him. Over multiple weeks. Each time some part of the system wouldn't load. If it were me, I would have called sooner, but he did still try multiple times.

I didn’t have such a good experience with them. I had pretty major issues with communication and transparency regarding the work they were doing. I was way overcharged for some final brick work they did to fix their previous work that didn’t hold up. I had questions about the cost considering it was way more an hour than anything else they did but no one would address my concern or offer an explanation. Not a very trustworthy or honest company in my opinion.

A few years ago a hate group called the Wolves of Vineland tried to start a branch here in Baltimore. While it ultimately was a failure, The Depot was their de facto hangout spot. Allowing them to patronize their and being influenced by what bands they wanted to see left a mark on the bars reputation.

I’ve seen the row of pour overs behind the counter and figured that’s what they were doing. Interesting to see!

You could say they are the same ‘functionally’ but not the same end result. This doesn’t mean you can’t get coffee to taste good with a drip/batch brew system but you just lose some control with large batches. Seeing them actually make multiple pour overs at once and out into a pot is essentially creating an environment like a batch brewer where it will balance any subtly off flavors, but for me this also loses some of the nuance of the ritual.
