Long pants, long-sleeve under armour cold gear (sleeves long enough to pull over my hands, which I do occasionally). I've been fine in this down to 29, haven't been out on any days colder than that.

I run between 6 and 7:15 in the morning and I would say earlier is probably safer, there are just a lot fewer cars out at 6 and my guess is that outweighs visibility, etc.

Much of Rockville Pike (MD-355) is set up this way. Its such a mad rush north or south 24/7, it has to be enforced. Baltimore could ask a winning county how it works for them.

Because them even being legal in the first place is a grey area.

Putting them everywhere would force the issue and the result might be that they are found to be illegal and they won't be allowed anywhere.

That’s cool and all, but I care much more about people riding the scooters like assholes than where they leave them.

Some dickhead riding the scooter 15mph down the sidewalk and hitting me, or running over my dog lying next to me while I eat at a restaurant (then threatening to kill me and the dog) is more upsetting than a stationary scooter.

Or the ones that think red lights/stop signs don’t apply to them. Or they constantly weave between traffic, going from street to sidewalk, etc.

I absolutely love the things conceptually, and they’ve been well executed other places, but they’re a total shitshow here and I’m honestly shocked I haven’t read about anyone dying from riding straight into traffic.

Just drive defensively. You have the green light...go till you cut them off. I never have more tha 2 jump thru.
