Imo Rosendorff's challah is the best challah. It's dangerous. Could literally just take a small round loaf and make all meals on Saturdays challah, challah, and challah.

For healthcare, there's a whole host of reasons. But a big one is price transparency. It is nigh impossible to shop around for healthcare, because even hospitals/clinics and your insurance aren't sure how much you'll be charged out of pocket until they send it through billing. Imagine a world where you don't discover the price of anything until after you buy it. That's US healthcare. Markets can't function without prices.

That is what this publish requirement is meant to fix, but I don't think it will be much help. Contracts change constantly and a lot of the data is wrong. It doesn't account for deductibles or maximum coverage or if your insurance decides to not cover something just because.

Maryland is unique in that regulated hospitals have to charge the same amount for the same service, and revenue is capped. Hospitals ostensibly can't make more money by pumping up volumes. But that is just the facility fee, professional fees (the doctors) still function under fee-for-service and can vary greatly. Clinics are unaffected as well.

If it takes an army of professionals to vaguely understand the system, what hope is there for any particular individual?

I was scheduled just after Covid locked us down and then Juneteenth became a federal holiday the last time I was summoned. Probably more like 4 years. They got me this time tho and I was see some boobies. Great thread everyone, but I seriously want recommendations.

Am I the only one who thinks that Motzi is just not that great? Everything seems to be a minor variation on the same basic whole-grain recipe, which means that everything tastes basically the same. I had a subscription for about six months and tried pretty much every bread they make. The baguettes are ok, some of the rye is pretty good, but beyond that everything is rather meh. I love them to death for working hard and being incredibly sincere, but better bread can be found elsewhere.

You’re a king! This can legitimately change peoples’ lives. I will be sharing the hell out of this. Hospitals are run by scumbags who want to rip off people as much as possible. I’m not talking about doctors and nurses.

Hustler is the best club there I recall but I haven't perused the block in many years. I remember going to Diamond club and it was $7 for a shitty beer and the dancers clearly did not want to be there. Made me feel bad for even stepping in. It was the after-church crowd on a Sunday, just me and another guy.

Had a great time at Hustler the two times I went but was at night. The block does seem a bit more lively these days when I drove through recently, seems to even be a few more clubs open for business. Wish I could help more. Best of luck!

Great bread. Awesome challah when they sell it (Fridays). Their bagels are bad though, they aren't much better than supermarket bagels.

Edit: Just to add details, when I was into bagel making I did some market research. Their bagels are TINY, like 80 grams, weren't boiled like real bagels (lacked the shiny exterior), and cost a whopping $2.80. For references the ones you'll get in NYC are around 180grams and sell for like $1.50. And they actually taste good.

I haven’t tried any of the ones you mentioned, but I’ll make it a point to! I’ve heard good things of Matthew’s, although I’ve also heard it’s kind of a Chicago-leaning hybrid pizza that is uniquely its own thing. I’m not a huge fan of a saucy pie (or really a pie that’s unbalanced toward any one ingredient), so I tend to stay away from a deeper dish. Thanks for the recs, friend :)
