Haha lost City diner was renovated and sat empty for years, it opened in 2011ish for like 12-18 months (a diner that didn't open for brunch on Sunday lol) and has been closed since. It's the woman that owns club chuck (and most of the that stretch of Charles from what I hear). She's nuts and doesn't seem like a very good business owner. But she's old money that's owns a bunch of property and probably does fine collecting rent from the flower shop and shit.

I was there a few weeks back and they closed the upstairs earlier than the downstairs bar. But the downstairs bar was full so maybe you caught a bad night?

I'm unaware of the details with minor vs adult when on trial for murder. I don't know what the jury will think, since that is how we decide things. Being a minor, illegally carrying, and then shooting someone retreating multiple times doesn't sound good to me. The legality of the firearm doesn't matter. But it definitely matters in how the jury thinks. Just looking at the bigger picture.

Illegally carrying a firearm in Maryland is a misdemeanor. I'll leave the legal fu for the lawyers and courts to figure out. I don't know what differences there are between a minor and an adult in this instance.
You're in the "Judged by twelve is better than carried by six" group. However, as you stated, this doesn't appear to be self defense. We are not in a stand your ground state. And even if we were, I suspect there would be the same outcome in the courts.

I remember going to Brewers in the 90s. I lived in that basement in my 20s, along with Club Charles. I think you’re right that more young people live in Hampden and Remington these days

Most careers pay significantly more here. That's why most people move out of the north

What? This is an amazing town for day drinking, and Sunday drinking as well. Those are sadly probably two of my favorite activities tbh.

There's 20 times as many people sure. Don't think anyone is expecting to find 1000 places open at 2am in Baltimore. But it would be nice to have like 6 that aren't gas stations?

I remember taking friends there and talking about it and drinking way too much Resurrection…thank god it happened 15 years ago because I’d be wrecked today.

There is no way Esquire voted it none of the coolest bars in America 15 years ago because that would make me old…I’m not ready to feel that old today.

It’s ok to defend Brewers. It’s nice that there’s more options at various price points in the area now. Sadly. Lost some great late night spots for sure. Lost city dinner in particular. You should definitely check out Royal Blue tho, I’ve been a couples. The food and drinks are great and then at night it’s quality dance party under the disco ball

I have been saying this for a long ass time, but this is why I wish we could get some sort of Asian night market, like the ones they have in Taiwan? I want some tasty dumplings, kebabs, and spicy, saucy food I can soak up with rice. Ensure they have police presence, should be easy I am sure all the cops will want to eat there. And just put it in Harborplace.
Some spicy garlicy green beans at 3am sounds so good to me.

There used to be a place on the corner of Light and E West St that was open really late, I used to love late night drunk breakfast. Now the only option is Maria D’s
