Some books can really change your whole perspective on life and the feeling that brings you for the first time is incredible.
For fiction mine would be ‘Sword in the Storm’ by David Gemmell
- one of the truly great fiction books/series of all time in my opinion. I was addicted from the first chapter and have read the series many times. I often found myself when growing up, looking up to some of the characters as mentors and held myself against what I thought their opinions would be.
For non fiction mine would be ‘The Barefoot Investor’ by Scott Pape
- this book gave me hope and really changed my entire perspective on money and finance and the position that I was in. I read this book at rock bottom, in one sitting in the middle of the night and the hope it gave me was immensely powerful. I’ve learned and progressed a lot since then but I always think back to how I felt reading this book when I had nothing.
