The true horror is what happens to the cows and to the people whose lot in life are forced to work at such a place and the people who eat those cows that keep such a place in business. I'm guessing that was kind of the idea, anyway.

That’s also true. I don’t even think the slaughterhouse was Steven’s first job—he was fired from an earlier job iirc.

Someone asked for disturbing books like Cow. I said they should read Dead Inside by Chandler Morrison. Most disturbing book I have ever read and hopefully it stays that way
