The past couple of years, I've been seeing more comments about the quality of Rowling's writing in Harry Potter with many people saying that she isn't any good, specifically referring to her quality of writing and not the books as a whole. This includes numerous creative writing lecturers as well as people discussing the books online, so not necessarily comments from people who simply dislike her.

However, I never see anyone go into any detail. Lecturers have never gone into detail of their opinion and they have just said that they think she can't write and quickly move on.

My question is - if you are someone who agrees that the Harry Potter books suffer from poor writing quality - WHY do you think her writing is bad? Can you think of any examples of her bad writing? Or even the opposite! If you think she has a good writing quality, why do you think that?
