I haven't finished reading a full book since graduating college almost 8 years ago. I used to average three books every week. But since entering 'adulthood,' I felt like I haven't had the energy or focus to read anything of extensive length. I probably tried reading a hundred books or so in that time, but I never finished any of them, and I worried that reading was no longer enjoyable for me.
Tonight, I finally finished The Remarkable Journey of Coyote Sunrise by Dan Gemeinhart. It's not a personal favorite to be honest, but it has a great premise and it's a well-paced heartwarming story. It helped me relive the sensation of escaping into another reality and exercising my imagination which I truly missed. I'm so happy I made it to the end, and I'm eager to relive the experience with whatever book I choose next.
