This was part of my year nine (that’d be first year of high school in the states, I think) reading/course work list. It’s so damn good, and the slow burn of learning all the dark side of utopia is amazing.

I didn’t realise it was a series.

I didn’t know it was a series either until I was talking about it with my siblings. There’s four books total in the series:

The Giver, Gathering Blue, Messenger, and Son.

I’m only a couple chapters into Gathering Blue.
