What book did you really enjoy but later discover most people actually dislike/hate?

I recently delved back into the fantasy genre, and one of the books that really stood out to me was “Wizard’s First Rule” by Terry Gookind. There are some glaring issues I have with this book but overall I found it a delightful and enthralling read. I soon found that most fans of the fantasy genre dislike this series and the author. This has me curious about books or series others have enjoyed, but perhaps aren’t regarded fondly by their respective communities.
