I read many great books this year, but I think my favorite that I read is Jane Eyre. This book had been sitting on my shelf for over ten years and I thought it was time that I finally pick it up. I went into it very anxious because it is such a beloved classic but I absolutely loved it. I loved Jane as a character because she had both inner and outer strength. I think Charlotte Bronte has beautiful yet thoughtful prose. Her writing really set tbe atmosphere for me and made me really engage with the plot. Though I knew the big twist of the novel, I liked how Jane responded to the news even though it broke her heart.

As 2022 is coming to a close, I was wondering what book was the highlight of other people's reading year. Was it a book outside of your comfort zone? Did you read and love a book that has been on your tbr forever? Was it a new release?
