I just finished reading The Stand by Stephen King and am incredibly proud of reading a book of such a scale, so I wanted to share it with like minded people!
I wasn't much of a reader until recently, and have really started to enjoy what books have to offer.
I bought The Stand in the beginning of 2021. Unfortunately, I was intimidated by the length and put it down.
I've read a lot since and thought I'd try my luck again. I picked it up again and started fresh during the start of the festive season and have just finished it!
I would love to hear people's opinions of the book, or anything interesting that I might not know about it.
I thought it was an incredible journey, the character building was fantastic and whilst at times it did drag a little, ultimately it was a great book! I think my favourite character ended up being Larry.
Thanks for listening!

Edit: Thanks for all the comments, everyone. It's great to read people's perspectives.
Also thanks for the recommendations. I'll give some of your King recommendations a go and will likely read the dark tower series as well!
