Maybe it's just me but I always regret not being able to read the book first especially when I like the movie and just didn't know it was based on a novel/book.
For ex. Gone Girl, When the Crawdads Sing, Fight Club, etc.
Books that I read first before watching the movie version:
The Road, Catcher in the Rye (Ok maybe JD Salinger Bio I think which is "Rebel in the Rye" for those who type so fast and are so excited to correct me lol), Cell, Fahrenheit 451, etc.
I will make an exception with "When the Crawdads Sing" because I really like the movie that I have to buy the book. But how I wish I read the book first!
Anyone here who feels the same?
