I feel weird recommending the channel because I think the host sucks… but “Better Than Food”.

I can’t really put my finger on it, but his personality rubs me the wrong way, like if I bumped into him at a bar I know I would dislike him.

Having said all that, he recommends some truly outstanding books. I read many books last year off of his recommendation and discovered books that have changed my life. I doubt I would’ve found some of these recommendations without his channel.

I would just look up a list of what he’s recommended and then read a dust cover summary to see if they sounds interesting to you.

If any of you can understand spanish I throughly recommend ADEH TV which is an Argentinian channel that gives such and in depth discussion I haven't found anywhere else, everything from local writes to joyce to mythology and all in a lecture format of 30-50 minute videos usually.

Emily Fox (a little bit of every genre)

Liene's Library (more diverse genre as well, very well spoken and has excellent in depth reviews)

BooksandLala was going to be my recommendation as well!

For OP, LaLa does lots of themed months or experiments with her reading. Like she recently had a month where she tried to figure out if she liked romance so she had one video where she read books recommended to her by friends, one where she read books her viewers told her she'd hate, one week she used a professional service, etc.

She's just very good at figuring out what she does and does not like about a book, and hearing her explain that really helped me figure that out for myself.
