I have lived for 12 years in a rural area with no decent bookstore. I've gotten dependent on reddit for leads, and the Internet for purchases.

But when I was younger, yeah, I used to cruise bookstores in person. Nothing was as good a draw as new title by a favorite author, but a good cover was often what drew me to try an unknown. Mind you in those days I was almost exclusively a reader of science fiction, and so many sci-fi covers are laughably terrible good ones stand out.

I have not read any book in years due to depression, but I do want to try and read something. I used to read a lot as a kid but now I am easily distracted and very stressed. Could you please give some recommendations or point me out somewhere? Just for the reference, I like sci-fi, drama, and thrillers.

Does anyone else like Presidential biographies?

I've read a few over the last couple of years, and I expect to read more. I think I like this type of biography because it tends to combine broad philosophical themes with American history and weave both into the narrative of a single person's life.

If memory serves (it's been a minute since I read it) the Voice basically accompanies that particular character until nearly the end of the book...and then starts talking to another character, >!relatively shortly before the outbreak of WWIII at the end of the book!<. Could it be similar cases of schizophrenia or whatnot caused by everything? Sure. Could it be the Devil? I can see it.

Here's my own way of cleaning book pages.

When cleaning book pages, you must handle it with care so as not to worsen the situation, and you can do that by.

1.Dust the pages gently: Use a soft brush or cloth to remove any dust or debris from the pages. You can also use a soft-bristled paintbrush to gently sweep over the pages.

2.Spot clean the pages: For spills or stains, you can use a clean cloth dampened with distilled water or a mixture of distilled water and a gentle cleaning solution. Blot the stain, being careful not to rub it in.

3.Avoid harsh chemicals: Avoid using strong chemicals, such as bleach or vinegar, on your book pages, as these can cause discoloration or damage to the paper.

4.Dry the pages carefully: After cleaning the pages, blot them gently with a clean, dry cloth to remove any excess moisture. Then, let the pages air dry completely, away from direct heat or sunlight.

If the markings are sitting on top of the page, you can try to remove with different kinds of professional/artist erasers (I.e. not dollar store quality).

Try kneeding eraser (roll it over, not rubbing it) a few times to see if it helps. You'll need to do it several times to lift off the dirt (if it works).

Another eraser to try is an adhesive removing eraser. You'll have to do small movements/ spot treatment to remove the first.

You can look for other polymer erasers from an artist shop.

Artist erasers tend to be better quality than regular school stationery because artists sometimes want to lift graphite off the paper as cleaninly as possible, which is what you're trying to achieve. If you choose to use an eraser, make sure to make small movements in one direction to prevent ripping or creasing the paper.

If the markings have stained the paper itself then you're SOL.
