As a recent visitor to the city, I found it charming and of course, of great historical significance. But why on earth do the locals here walk so intensely fast, often riding up on other pedestrians? I felt like the motive was to march right through anyone not on pace. It was true of downtown, North End, Back Bay. Where is everyone going and do locals note this as a local habit?
