I've had 2 great experiences as a solo bar-goer at Wu Song Road Tiki Bar. I unfortunately forget his name, but the bar tender I had both times was super fun and took some time to chat. I did go during less busy times in fairness, though

Housing is a human right.

There are more people than there were fifty years ago.

There are more people living in Boston than there were 50 years ago.

We've been adding jobs faster than we've been adding homes for several decades now.

If we don't increase the number of homes, people with more money will outbid people with less money for the homes.

Your choices are "keep the buildings the same and have skyrocketing prices, homelessness and displacement" vs "build more homes and have density, so there's homes for everyone."

Keeping your neighborhood the way it used to be is not an option. Nostalgia is lovely but is absolutely poisonous as a housing policy.

She did not, essentially we were told to figure our shit out ourselves. The Red Cross gave us a bit of money, bless them, but it only would have been for a few days. The lease doesn't say much about fire, only that the landlord has the right to terminate the lease in the event of a fire. She terminated it a few days after the fire- around June 20th.

She mentioned she would work with the insurance to try to get us that money back, but so far it seems like it hasn't been going anywhere. I understand her concern with the property being burned but I was also not having a lovely time over the summer with no permanent living situation
