And not wearing a mask doesn't mean that you'll 100% get sick. That's why it wasn't presenting either as such. I'm saying that trying not to get sick (regardless of severity) is also a reason people wear masks. As opposed to the OP's comment that only takes into account the risk of a serious illness.

because city land is far smaller than most other cities in the country, we are like the 8th biggest metro

i never said that i am against building housing, just that a blanket “build” policy is not conducive to building neighborhoods and communities. the seaport is a perfect example of building soulless neighborhoods

take care of boston residents before enticing more and more biotech and life science startups here

That sort of happened to me

I was doing my driver's ed in reading and got in the rotary right there on the Wakefield line. The instructor got a call at the same time so since I didn't have any further instructions I just kept going around and around. Must have gone around 9 or 10 times.

She finally got off the phone and said pull off and head to the lake before she threw up from how many times we went in circles.

Building housing helps the middle class. Restricted housing just leads to highest bidders getting limited stock, pricing out people down the income scale disproportionately.

We shouldn’t arbitrarily decide what size city we want, we should just build enough housing to meet the demand. Otherwise people end up priced out and suffering low quality of life with long commutes.

We could build 150,000 units and still be nowhere near a “metropolis”. If every one of those got filled we’d still only be the 18th most populous city in the country.

Because there is huge demand to live in this city? We could continue to grow our economy and provide high quality of life to lots of people.

Dickheads that already got theirs and want the state to arbitrarily restrict housing to pump up their property values are a blight on this and every city.

If you paid through June 30, but she terminated June 20, she owes you at least that ten days of rent. (She may also owe you the other days between the fire and the termination, if the apartment was not usable.)

Whether she pays or not is a different question. If you’ve tried to discuss it, but she declines to offer a solution, you could try sending her a 93A demand letter setting out exactly what the problem is and what you’re looking for as a resolution.

Yes, for some reason people think kids actually like wearing masks. Most don't.

My 3 year old who "likes" wearing a mask simultaneously drools all over them so how effective can it really be? The day his daycare dropped the mask requirement he became much happier to not have to fumble with it. My 8 year old found them annoying but tolerated it because no one gave him a choice. The day his school lifted the mandate he stopped wearing one and refuses to wear one again unless we're in a situation where he literally has no choice.

>Also, the risk of serious illness isn't the only reason to wear a mask. Given the choice of being sick for a few days (covid, influenza, etc.) or not being sick for a few days, I'd much rather not be sick.

People caught covid while wearing masks...

Presenting masks as a 100% effective way to prevent getting sick is completely nuts.
