Yup. Four wheels, however driven, are not suited to snow. But remember it wouldn’t be traffic without you.

I lived in a 900 square foot apartment that had oil heat with radiators. Only lived there for one winter (2017) but spent about $2k on oil. Never again.

Yeah my commute at 5:30 was pretty standard for that day/time.

Do you have a car? If so I’m a huge fan of Marni Smith in Wellesley, she works at Dr Jeannie Chung’s office and her practice rocks.

I drive by Cambridge Reservoir daily, it has not frozen over even once this year. 4 inches of snow? It’s a red herring.

I've had oil heat. It won't be nearly that much. If the rest of the apartment is a good deal, I'd grab it.

If you are driving anywhere tonight give yourself a LOT of extra time.
Just had to drive from Roxbury to Malden and it took almost 2 hours.
Drive slow. It's slippery.

Yup pretty much. I left work around 5 and there really wasn’t much traffic and the roads weren’t that bad. The pike was surprisingly fine, just had to take it a little slow

I'm not freaked out by the warm December.
I'm resigned to the hellscape to come as climate change accelerates.

And it’s supposed to be in the 40s tomorrow. It hasn’t been that cold this year.

These are just snow showers, and it's warm for January still. That's pretty damn mild.

I still think this is mild. You’re acting like it’s a blizzard outside - it’s not. Plus, the high is going to be 50 on Thursday. Pretty tame.

You think it’s going to constantly be in the 30s in April and may?
January and February are the only cold/snowy months left, you might get flurries and cold days in Nov/Dec or March/April, but nothing that sticks or lasts too long.

4-5 months? That’s like April and May…

It’s not going to be a “cold, slushy icy hellscape” in April and May
Samael13 t1_j5ly7tb wrote
I mean, it's going to be almost 50 on Thursday and we don't have daytime highs lower than 35 until next week, so I'm not sure I'd point to one day of snow that's likely to be gone before the end of the week as a serious break from the weird mildness of winter so far. It's going to be February before we have daytime temps that stay below freezing for more than a single day. That's very weird.
