if there’s a periodontal reason you need four cleanings per year (I’m assuming it has something to do with your gums) then your dentist should be able to make the argument that it’s preventive maintenance to the insurer and get the other two visits covered. if your dentist can’t or won’t do that it’s probably a sign that they’re not good patient advocates and you should find someone else.

no insurer will cover four cleanings a year unless your dentist fights for it, because private insurance is a Ponzi scheme that doesn’t work and needs to die.

Almost certainly going to offer $50K. I applied to a job there last year with a similar pay grade, something like $58k-$86k. I requested a salary in the middle of the band as it was the minimum I'd need to afford my apartment. The recruiter actually reached to to me and asked me if $58k was OK - the absolute minimum of the pay band and $30k lower than my absolute minimum survivable wage.

I didn't bother responding.

This is like comparing gasoline prices. If you've got a giant truck with a huge tank, your cost will be more than a compact with a small tank. Both of them pay the same $3.30 per gallon at the gas station.

Same thing, but you're comparing homes with different insulation, different heating systems, different windows' exposure to different winds, different thermostat settings & schedules. Which is not much of a comparison at all & doesn't tell you anything useful.

This is not "crowd sourcing a fair rate", the rates are all set in stone for everyone. Neither you nor anyone else is getting fleeced. Hopefully this spurs you & everyone else to take the measures you're willing & able to take in order to use less.

No, not in higher Ed. It's very different than private industry. Usually there is a grid based on years of experience and level of education. The highest end is reserved for someone with a PhD and like 25 years experience.

You're correct it's probably longer than that. Soul Clap used to run the event Mid-Week Techno from Phoenix Landing on Wednesdays prior to Re:Set starting, and it probably goes back even further prior to them starting this event.

Thursday night's ELEMENTS Drum & Bass is one of the longest running weekly DNB events in the world. It is run by a DJ named Lenore.

If they want to start moving some design into the US (currently all the design/engineering is in Denmark, right?) it makes sense to open an office in a deep engineering talent pool. But I'm surprised they're closing Enfield, it seems like the lower COL there would be better for less specialized jobs like logistics.

I guess maybe they'll send warehouse logistics down to the factory in VA and move marketing/sales to Boston along with engineering? Our marketing/sales talent pool here is substantial as well, even though it gets less press than the technical staff.

I could but to be honest I’ve never negotiated so I’m a little nervous about bringing up anything other than what the hiring manager brings up. I’ll keep course releases in mind, is there anything else I can ask about? Additionally, are new hires strictly paid the exact minimum salary or is there a range?

That seems right given the rate hikes this year. You're also using a good amount of gas. How big is your place?

My Nest thermostat has really saved my ass this winter. 2 bedroom apartment, two floors. Drafty old windows in a 110 year old apartment. I only used 85 therms in December. Thermostat sets to 65° at night, pre-heats the apartment a bit for morning when I'm getting ready for work, then back to 65° until a little bit before I get home from work. It's pretty great. If it's exceptionally cold outside the thermostat turns on the heat earlier to try and keep it in an eco friendly range.highly recommend getting one of these if you're trying to keep your bills under control. Super easy install that I did myself. Let my landlord know, but honestly, you don't have to if they're a dickhead.
