I believe this would include suits for employment issues, such as harassment or civil rights violations, etc.

My guess it depends on why? Did the police fabricate or without evidence?

I’m a bit confused. Let’s say she actually killed the poor kids and she tried to get help but didn’t will she get charged?

If we still have bunker hill, we still have Boston. We will fight the brits and their climate change, by land or by sea!

Why cannot we simply eat the poor? It is such a modest proposal and would save me from all this, gas nonsense.

You are confused between prophy code and perio maintenance code. If you did a SRP and on 3 months recall for cleaning (perio maintenance code gonna be billed instead of prophy).
Basically routine 2 times per year covered is D1110. After the SRP, your 3 months service would be filed as D4910. Check your insurance on how they cover that code.
Running a dental clinic is extremely expensive, you wouldn't find places charging $50-$60 per cleaning anymore, even if you do, I would be very skeptical they doing good work...
> So what is the actual difference between prophylaxis and periodontal maintenance? The answer is simply determined by confirming what was actually done on behalf of the doctor’s diagnosis. Was it only scaling? Was it scaling and polishing? What and where was root planed? It is here that the actual definitions from Current Dental Terminology will be helpful.
>D1110 prophylaxis – adult Removal of plaque, calculus and stains from the tooth structures in the permanent and transitional dentition. It is intended to control local irritational factors.
>D4910 periodontal maintenance This procedure is instituted following periodontal therapy and continues at varying intervals, determined by the clinical evaluation of the dentist, for the life of the dentition or any implant replacements. It includes removal of the bacterial plaque and calculus from supragingival and subgingival regions, site specific scaling and root planing where indicated, and polishing the teeth. If new or recurring periodontal disease appears, additional diagnostic and treatment procedures must be considered.

A studio near Harvard will be at least $1,800. Many landlords will require 3x the rent in monthly income, so $72k annually, unless you have a guarantor or savings. With no debt and minimal monthly expenses (e.g., no car) you could probably make it work if living alone is really important to you, but you’ll be much more comfortable if you find a roommate or two.

I have been with Delta, and they covered mine when I needed cleanings 4x a year. It came down to how the dental office coded the visits. As it was mandated by my dentist, I had no issues.

Dr. Rapoza at Opthalmic Consultants of Boston. Four years ago I had lasik and my wife had PRK. They're busy and the scheduling for checkups sucked, but he was fantastic. You can Google him and read his bio.
It's pricey, but you can use HSA/FSA for it. My wife needed a touchup a year later due to an old scar and this didn't cost extra.
Edit: I should note that OCB has a location in Boston for checkups, but Dr. Rapoza only does surgery in Waltham as far as I know.

The other departments listed in the article with significant legal settlements/payouts during the time period other than police are:
Fire
Boston Public Schools
Public works
Public facilities Department
Transportation
Treasury
The only other department with a settlement/payout over $1 million during a single year is Boston Fire with a $3.31 million in 2020.

I'm saying when the police lose these suits it should come out of the pension fund. See how fast they clean up their act.

That’s just what gas costs up here these days, mostly because of supply issues and the fact that it’s also our main source of electricity. 216 therms is a lot though: unless you have a really big home or keep it really warm, I’d get an energy audit. If you’re renting, there’s not really much that you can do, besides maybe those shrink-wrap window covers.

But the DA isn’t part of the city. It’s the county which for most of Massachusetts, including Suffolk, was taken over by the state.

Negligence suits are also capped at $100K for the city but these police suits are not.
It’s still a huge sum of money. Just weird how it is framed.
