So what you are saying is…4 years later, the signal box is still destroyed.

Dude/Duddet, something is off. Our house a little bigger, but we only used about 225 therms last month. Under $500

A. No union in their right mind would agree to such asinine terms. B. The police dont have their own individual pension fund they contribute to the same fund as other city employees.

Was just saying this. I’m blowing so much money on Uber.

I believe it. I’m wasting money on Uber to get to work on time because no matter how early I leave the Red Line screws me. And now they’ve been doing two Braintree and then two Ashmont, doubling the already shitty time.

It sucks that they have to do more work even after the month-long shutdown, but it does make sense to do that while they already need to run shuttles for the garage work.

In the case of Sean Ellis, police corruption was a HUGE part of why it played out the way it did. That shit had witness intimidation, planted evidence, all sorts of bad cop shit.

also, I may be mistaken, but aren't the worst slow zones north of where the closure is? I guess it's more trafficked through downtown but fixing the slow zones on the north end of the line would do a lot more to reduce headways

And remember it’s really all the management and governors fault! None of it has anything to do with our fine union mbta workers!

17+ minute wait at North Station for an OL train at 8:45 am today.
Transit hub. Rush hour. 17+ minutes. Inexcusable.

I have an idea. We actually start taking the amount Boston residents have to pay for these settlements out of the BPD contract renewals. Obviously it wouldn't come as a pay cut (god forbid) but this way they see how much more they WOULD have gotten, if not for the bad apples.

I had a fantastic dentist when I lived in NY up until 4 years ago. $49 for a cleaning only, no exam, it was awesome, I would go every 4 months and get just one exam per year. Now in MA, the cheapest I could find for a cleaning was $125.

No, that's not the point. The point is the Commonwealth is the greatest place on earth. They should be green with envy! As Lego has shown us--there is only one city in new england worth a damn, and that's the City on a Hill. Sicut patribus sit deus nobis !
