Probably not a city in the country that will keep you that isolated unfortunately. Have you tried an N95 mask? Or one with intake filters?

Otherwise you're looking at the burbs where you can be in your car until the door of whatever store you're going to.

I canceled recently at Allston BSC and they canceled it no fuss and on time, and no later charges or anything. Was also worried about their reputation but everything was pretty fine and easy.

I give the gym itself a 7/10, not the greatest but it has a cool old-school iron feel I really liked.

The "smell" of marijuana smoke isn't going to cause an allergic reaction. Scents don't contain proteins and proteins are what you're actually allergic to. If you're allergic to apples, and you smell an apple, you're not going to have a reaction regardless of how bad your allergy is. On top of that, smoke, marijuana, cigarettes, or campfire, also have no proteins in it, so you're not having an allergic reaction from the smoke. Especially if you're outdoors where it's heavily diluted in the air. If merely smelling weed is causing that kind of reaction, you need a therapist, not an allergist.

There are some practicing doctors who have a specialization in helping overcome allergic reactions. Not easy to find but can help some people. If they are not able to detect it with their tests, then it may be more psychosomatic, which is not to downplay it, but a different approach, like therapist, may be helpful.

Exactly my point. It's like I want to go on a jog, but literally I live in the Kenmore area and it's so bad. Are there any major cities that do you have found that the smell is less potent than in Boston??

I would move to a state where marijuana is still illegal if your allergy is that debilitating. But I know what you mean — my parents have an apartment in back bay and whenever I go running over there it always smells like skunk

What time is the 5k run on Sunday? Were you planning on checking out of your hotel and then going to the run, and then just hang out until your flight?

If it's early enough you might be able to arrange a late checkout (even if there's a fee involved) and get back to shower before you head out. Generally there's leeway until 1pm without too much trouble. Or even ask the hotel if you can leave your bags and come back and use the hotel gym's showers or something along those lines?
